thomas
I am planning to be up in Mammoth again the next weekend and try to cut the waiting period over summer as short as possible. Anyone else? - Thomas
Guest JLH
Thomas, How was the snow? I may go up 23rd for the weekend. Camp/fish/board. JH
nekdut
I was just there this past weekend. Prime time carving is 830-1030am. Before that you'll need some really sharp edges, and after 11am, its WAY soft unless you go to the top, and there's no real carveable terrain up there this time of year. The soft slushy bumps sure are fun though
Frank Morales
Looks like Mammoth is getting a dusting. Ray,both Tims,Thomas,Neil are you up there? Is it going to happen?Lots of rocks still.
nekdut
Hey Frank. I am up here as a matter of fact. It was a decent dusting, but it stayed pretty warm in town so nothing stuck. I think the mountain itself got a couple inches, but they need at least a good foot to fall before I would feel safe bringing any decent boards out. Broadway is just a little white strip, and a crowded one at that when chair 1 was spinning today. The wind stopped it a number of times. I may or may not head up to the slopes tomorrow, depending on how crowded it is. I'll leave a detailed report if I do.

thomas
Hi Neil, Have up been up on the Mountain yet? They are operating the stump alley chair. Just wondering, if there is a decent coverage on the slope. There is supposedly some snow coming in tomorrow night. - Thomas
nekdut
Sorry guys. I have yet to carve any trenches this season. It sounds like things are shaping up there though. A decent storm should be on its way for tomorrow night and its supposed to be a good foot or so.
