  1. Thanks its a good deal ;) ,i paid 300 € for the 06 eliminator i fink its a good price ?

i am now i austria for 2 days and i will make some nice pictures, from the apres party :D ,no i mean from carving :eplus2: i am with a friend from Australia .

    regards miro

That's probably a 50% deal, so yes. I was at the F2 test center in Sölden earlier this year, and was stoked to try out some of their boards!

  2. well, i believe that putting down the restraining bar is unneccesary because all chairs are designed so that if they are going full speed and then come to a sudden stop, no one will fall out. that is unless someone is leaning forward very far. The chair will tilt back and forth to keep whater is on the chair from falling off.

I wear my helmet because of the icy conditions out here and its saved me countless times from serious injury.

I don't get this one either. I've never actually been on any lifts without one, but I've been happy to have used the safety at the time when an emergency stop once almost threw me out of the chair.

But most of all, I find it very strange that they are so rare in the US than here in Europe. I usually find your culture with warning signs on literally everything, and "sign-here-so-you-won't-sue-us-forms" for every other potentially hazardous activity more likely to have safety bars than the Laissez-faire attitude of say, the French.

  3. In stock, Head boots are excellent (comfortable, warm) but somewhat stiff. Some racers like this. (extreme) carvers don't. After modifying the boots you get great forward flex and increase the effect of the spring : less effort in your legs.

Modified Head boots behaviour is very similar to Northwave .900 one

So I guess there is no use in trying out the stiffer toungues that came with the boots? I always wondered what difference they make compared to making spring adjustments?

  4. Agree, Sölden is a great place to be to be able to try out equipment etc. Got my Stratus Pros there three months ago - great with advice and fitting in the shops.

Edit: Also, you might want to check out Flims in Switzerland. That is the place in the world I know that is really dedicated into attracting snowboarders. The even have ski maps with outlined areas attractive for differend kinds of boardriding; carving, backcountry and park. They also have (Board) Riders Palace, a really cool place to stay at (featured in the Hotel Guide Hip Hotels). On one of my visits I rented factory primes and Skwals from the "regular" shop. Indeed well stocked. Check out www.flims.ch and discover the "Alpine arena".

  5. I would put my money one somthing better then entry level like the Alp. You should be able to find high end stuff bargains if you look around a bit.

I tried the Alp for a bit a couple of years ago and having been on the Factory and Ultra primes it was a waste of good riding time.

  6. I always put them on straight. I've got the really stiff ones and I'd think my board would flex in a bad way if I should have them angled. I get some of the hang you mention on one of the corners when using Flow bindings, but it's not noticable when riding.

BTW, aren't these plates some of the most expensive pieces of plastic on the snowboard market?

  7. Hello everybody.

I ordered (and received) two pair of bindings (TD2 Standard and TD2 Step-In + intec heel + suspension kit).

I would like to say to all the italian (and probably in many other countries) people that would want to buy such bindings (and other bindings from united states) that the shipping cost + the tax are something that can make you fall down to the ground.

On a price of about 720 USD for the material, I finally paid 1019 USD. Just 720 + shipping + taxes. I was absolutely surprised about the fact that I paid my bindings 40% (298 USD) more than their price.

Yeah... I paid around €90 in taxes alone to Sweden.

  8. I went through two Aggressions and then a steel-topped Volant in one season, they delaminated in 3, 4, and 1 day(s) of riding. Volant just kept sending replacements and telling me they'd never heard of that sort of thing happening with their boards (yes, three times in a row). :(

Ouch. What length were the Volant?

  9. But for grabing and pull on the pants, the tension between the attach pants and the connention bindings will be very tight, no?? then with this tension is comfy to ride??

(sorry for my ignorance but I never see and test this sistem)

    Sito

Its not stretched when you ride. You can adjust the length of the cord, but the point is to get more to grab when wearing mitts than just the handle. The cord is just like having a longer handle really.
