I'm sorry to say I think the whole design is retarded. I liked the concept but had to switch back to regular straps, Flow just lack all the support I'm used to.

The floor mess is a result of trying to set up a pair of boots for the skwall. It's great to be able to play around switching liners and trying different things out.
Do you have problems with your regular alpine boots on the Skwal?

Next season I'm defintly getting a silberpfeil. When researching for my first board, this one came up constantly as an easy to handle all around fun board. Plus, all of them have awesome top sheets.
It'd be cool to have a volant but maybe later.
Funny you say that, I just sold my Volant to afford my SP. Not quite a head turner like the Volant, but it suited my riding style better beeing a freecarve board.
Now I'm only waiting to get home my latest eBay bargain, a brand new Speedster RS 183... for €250.
Then I'll probably be one of the worst F2 nerds in here... with the

Finland has become the worst charging $500 in taxes on one board. It actually cost us money to get this individual his board.

Still, the edge wears out differently on the sections of the boards so that would be a good way to tell what part to improve.

I've got the Titanium binding and I love it. I'm tired of moving it around between my boards though (even though its five times as fast as moving a TD), so I just ordered a pair of Titanflex to complete my setup (F2 Lancelot / F2 Silberpfeil). However, I'm on 26,5 Stratus Pros and are using the medium size Titaniums and the Titanflexes might be large. Any one knows if that might be a problem?

I just got my Silberpfeil out of its plastic wrapping a week ago. I'm in love - I'm used to riding Skwals and Burner 188 with bigger sidecuts, but my 172 Silberpfeil is so sweet when it gets a bit more crowded. 11m radius and really really snappy.
Edit: Yeah, and I almost forgot - I tested the Speedcross at the F2 test center in Sölden earlier this season. It's really nice too, probably a better choice if you are doing a lot of softer stuff and want something wider and allround. Wouldn't change my SP for one though.

For conditions like that, I go with the F2 Lancelot. Soft fat nose that'll eat up anything, stiff swallowtail to go off piste, and riding characteristics from the F2 Eliminator BX freecarver.

It was good to see you in Åre! Too bad it wouldn't stop snowing (weird statement huh?). Me and Mats had a magic morning on that last sunday though. I couln't resist getting that Silberpfeil, and it was perfect. Marcus bought my Volant for his collection. Also found a new RS 183 to replace my aging 188 Burner for only €250, also to make up for not winning it!

I've been riding Skwal for years, but never considered using my skills on the waterski. I would guess the pull of the rope is quite different from gravity?
It's weird though, waterskiiers have known and worked the advantages and sensations of putting all pressure on one edge, but slalom skiers just refuse to see this.

For me, when starting out - the big laydown turns with arcs using most of the pistes were a natural way for me to deal with getting balance, gut and confidence for my next turn. As my riding progressed I learned to push myself into much tighter, faster turns with cross-over/push-pull technique as mentioned above. I think it's only a matter of riding more to get the feel and confidence for doing faster linked turnes in all conditions rather than focusing on a large number of gear-setups.

I'm not going to say to much to appear like a salesman... But since I picked up my first Skwal, my hardbooting days are more like 20% alpine, 80% Skwal.
One thing about the Binding though - you can switch the heel and toe pieces with any standard F2/Blax Intec piece. (You won't be able to mount any regular binding due to the waist.) Tried it and it worked great. Now I got my Skwal TD's and my Völkl so I hardly use this board any more.
Once again, I'll check with my parole... er post office.

I'm not sure what I'm after, I just don't think I've nothing like it (BX) in the collection.
