  1. What helps in bombing hills is a board with a side cut radius like my F2 183 Speedster. I think it has like a 16 m scr and it lets you go as straight as you want without much trouble. Plus, the board isn't that stiff so you can make tight turns with ease.

I find it impossible to bomb on my SL because the room for error when an edge is caught by the snow at high speeds is very small.

  2. I also ended up pouring that vino into a large mug. A bottle actually fills about half of this ridiculous Oktoberfest mug.

now thats a real man's stein!

Willy, yeah thats 1 block away. I heard the news when I was still in NH. What a trajedy.

Today in the morning, there were 20-30 fire trucks, ambulences, decontamination units and police on longwood ave at Harvard Medical across the street. Bomb threat or something. Can't find anything online about it.

  3. JD, glad you liked the yellow pants. I was so close to buying a complementary jacket on tramdock.com. I had 3 chances and decided I'd just put on my XL PJ Stock crew shirt from way back. that shirt has a long history.

Which girl are you talking bout? I forgot who you've met? Tall brunette...? Shorter one with black hair? Blonde? Theres a whole bunch that I bring, and a whole bunch of freshmen and sophmores that wanna go this year ;)

So first week of classes is almost over and I figured as long as I take 20 mg of Adderall intracavernosally (look it up) and study for 8 hours a day, I'd be able to skip class on tuesday and/or thursday and/or saturday or sunday. Gonna be a rough 14 weeks.

    also, great vid.

  4. i believe a schtubby can do all of those.

I have a titanal coiler 176 all mountain and I was in around 8 inches of fresh this past weekend, went into the trees, and then had fun in the chop. I'm not much of a racer, but I'm sure it'll handle fine in the gates.

My top 2 boards are my madd 170 and coiler. The are completely different rides but have the same capabilities.

I'd like to see a hardbooter in the the pipe. Any vids?

  5. Damn, ygalmwata. (You guys are all losing me with all these abbreviations. :smashfrea

stfuarmff: Stuff that fat uncle a rouster muffin from fall? I'm so lost.

Anyways, today was really good. Lots of snow and friday should be epic. Yellow pants have been in full force this week.

Its funny that now i can tell that picture was taken after a kegger because the floor is nasty :barf: The date stamp is way off.

Bruce I'd let you try it out but you'd probably get finger prints all over it or something...

  7. I'll be there thursday thru saturday. Anyone catch my interview on channel 9? Not sure if they ran my response, but it was questions about ticket prices at resorts.

I won a Miller t shirt for my sweet beer pong skills. The picture looks like a vintage shot of a guy on hardboots getting some air. I'm just that good at pong.

    See ya guys this weekend.

  8. Missed all the jump excitement, but I heard it wasn't anything too new. Ya, it was nice seeing Illya. Haven't seen him in years and years. Small world.

Oh and my full pimp name is Reverend Doctor G. Smooth. Makes sense to me.

    post pics of the pups.

  9. the party went well. You should've come. Maybe 30+ people were there and we still had half a keg left. That $4.99 brut was goooooood. Had a full pimp glass of that with 6 full glasses of beer, and after 12:30, things got a little fuzzy.

I couldn't believe my hair still looked like a dirty mess. Looks like I just came back from a run. Tis' was a good time to be drunk.

    How was your new years?

  10. wow, and to think that I was so close to getting a mug at the bunyan.

I heard Cannon was all blue skies while it was raining at loon.

On sunday, it was 10 degrees warmer at the top than the bottom. The moment you hit the fog halfway down (grand junction or lower half of lower walking boss) you couldn't see your feet.

    Check out the views:

The panoramic shot came out pretty sweet. Done with a cell phone, stitched together with some Canon photo stitch program.

  11. wow, I haven't actually seen one in action. Last year (I think) Oprah had these on her show. We had moms buying these from my pharmacy like they were going out of style. Then all of the sudden, they were back ordered for 6 months or so.

Our supplier couldn't get a hold of them at all. Apparently they're really good. I've been lucky enough to avoid sinus infections and I embrace the cold weather.

Flu shots, I don't believe they're very necessary, unless you're at high risk (youngster, elderly, or constantly around either of the 2)

Jack, the store generics are often made by the same manufacturer as the actual brand, and if not, they still are identical.

As far as vitamins go, Dr. D is right, you can have 1000% your daily value of any certain vitamin, you're body isn't going to absorb more than it really needs. There can be dangers with going over board with too many natural products, but I haven't learned about specific ones yet.

As far as getting antibiotics for sinus infections, I always laugh at that. There is a walk-in clinic doctor thats next to my pharmacy and every day he calls in a dozen or so Zpaks (Azithromycin 250 mg) for people's sinus infections. As Dr. D stated, bacteria is one of the last culprits of a sinus infection. People are just making their bodies more resistant to the bacteria in their body by taking that amount of antibiotics.

Best thing to do to stay healthy is take multivitamins with plenty of calcium and vitamin D, and since we all like snowboarding, I highly recommend glucosamine for the joints. That stuff is wonderous.

  12. The stock liners in my UPZ RTRs were horrible and painful. I got rid of them and got Dalbello Golds at Startingate before my first day of riding. Ditch the stock liners and get to a bootfitter. save your nickels though - it can be a little pricey (I think they were about $200)

+1 for the UPZ stock lines being trash.

    Exhibit A

    Exhibit B:

Today was my first day on unmolded Deeluxe track 700s and I felt discomfort for like a 10 second period in the 6 hours I was out. I fixed it by loosening the buckles on the lift ride up. Liners shouldn't be unbearably uncomfortable. The money spent on a good boot fitting is worth every penny. How can you enjoy carving if you're not comfortable?

  13. I'll get my dad's drill and just drill the heads off. If I don't have it off by next weekend, I'll let you know.

Today was sweet! can't believe none of you made it out. Were you ladies afraid to scratch up your coilers?

I took the Madd at noon and holy ****, that thing gets more fun with every run! I can't imagine a board having more grip on ice than the coiler or madd. Who needs a kessler.

The track 700s are so sick!!! What a difference. Fit pretty well without even molding them. Just gotta drill on the 2nd strap from the top to make them snug.

I'll be out there next friday and saturday, then every day till jan 11th.

and heres a little clip of karl's first run. Not bad at all.

I'm going packing to be up there sunday morn bright and early.

I need a little help getting my intecs off my UPZs to put them on my new boots. The hardware store near me had no clue and I'm going to try a ski shop near loon tomorrow morning.

I was able to get the t nut off the top right one but the threading stayed on, so it still won't come out.

the bottom right screw is stripped, and rusted to the t-nut so thats the one I need most help with. The top left is spining but is rusted together. Anyone have a small dremel tool they can bring to try to cut the screws off from the inside? I'd talk the bartender into letting me buy you guys a drink, with a fluffernutter or a slim fast
