  1. How much are you wanting to get out of the Tinkler plate? I'm not really sure how much to offer for it. I don't think I've ever seen one on Ebay or elsewhere. Thanks.
  2. Do Tinkler plates fit all or most boards? Or, are they like a conshox or derby plate that has to have the right inserts in the deck? I have an MLY 183 that has inserts in it for a 'Kildy' plate. Is that how Tinklers attach? Thanks.
  3. Does each participant have to be a USASA member (in all USASA-sanctioned races)?
  4. My local area added a new lift last year which opened a run which has a unique feature in it: an off-camber section. Some of you might say this part of the run has a double fall line. It's a great section to ride as if it were a wave. I happen to ride it mainly using a toeside turn being a goofy-footer. The problem I'm having with this section of the run is that I often 'drift' down the run (that is, toward my heelside edge) much more than I want to. I've tried just easing up on the edging, I've tried running on a flat base for just a second but, I still can't seem to get this under control. Any suggestions?
  5. Board: Rossi Recycler 172 Binders: Rossi SIS Boots: Rossi F5's The Recycler is softer than a (Rossi) Levitation and doesn't grip as well as the Levee. After having used step-ins I'd have a very hard time going back to strap bindings. The F5's are VERY stiff. I don't know if they are as stiff as Burton Drivers, though. The SIS boot/binding is made by Emery for Rossignol. The main complaint about the Emery SI system is that it looks like a screen door latch attached to a snowboard. In 5+ years of riding this Rossi/Emery system I haven't experienced any problems. I think the two best boards Rossignol makes are the Levitation and Undertaker 185. Both of which are at home in powder or on the groomers, soft or hard set-up.
  6. Our group from up north will be at the Canyons tomorrow. What's the Grand Prix in PC? We don't get out much up here:[
  7. Rented the DVD over the summer Pat, very funny stuff. The humor makes more sense to me because I saw the things that are made fun of growing up in the south.
  8. You'll have at least two of us from Logan there on the 21st at PC. There may be more as we get the word out. Looking forward to meeting all of you and carving PC. Meeting place and time yet?
  9. Do we have any sponsors yet? I realize that this event is in the planning stages still and may end up being impromptu. But, if we could get some local Salt Lake sponsorship, that could be very helpful in the future. REI, Garts, Salty, who else? What about group discounts for PC, Canyons, or Basin? I'm happy to help. Has someone already started looking into some local or distant help?
  10. If I could drop in here and add my two cents. I'd like to suggest that perhaps the reason the ST's were dropped is because they are directional. A twin-tip can be ridden switch anytime. A ST can be ridden switch depending on the model but are largely directional boards (I've seen several riders spin on snow 360's and aerial spins on STs). So, maybe these riders were wanting that ability to ride switch more comfortably. Though I agree with Adam that powderguns (and this thread) are largely off-topic, I ride my Rossi Undertaker with plates and hardboots and enjoy it on or off piste.
