  1. wus there today and yesterday- not a hb goon in sight. get er done early before the hangover crowd decends
  2. I took my first hardboot lesson from Erik Beckman two years ago at the beginning of my first full year in hardboots. I would be back every week if he was closer. He believes that 85% of correct riding comes down to proper boot/binding set-up and he has a keen eye on how your technique can improve with subtle set-up changes. Once you are more comfortable on the board some bad techniques disappear and then he can help eliminate the rest! He is very accessible through email and we have had interesting discussions since then. If you go see him bring a big tip and a lot of questions...he's been around a long time and will have all the answers. beckmannag at yahoo.com
  3. was at ptc this am. if he gets the boards next week sometime, he'll spin em in a week or so.....
  4. I dropped those sticks off 2 months ago and now I get an urgent call from ptc that my boards are BEHIND SCHEDULE and WE NEED TO TALK...furfucsake! I left a message with mike to just spray paint the thing white and crayon some stitches like cheevers mask and i'll make a quick switch with some goon at loon...he'll never know! hope the new coiler is Bank of Wif approved ...I'll see you around thankgiving...i'll bring the yellow crime scene tape
  5. a lot of cigars and harleys this summa but I was in the gym every morning @4:30am and have been dryland training for more than a month now...wanna take it up a notch this year. I'm sure I'll be hackin up a lung and have a case of sewing-machine-leg first day though... enzo- sounds like you made an unprecedented recovery and rehab from the shattered hip off east basin last season....amazing. I still have the new madd and I wouldn't feel right if you didn't try it out first before deciding jd- congrats again on the little bomberite coming soon...you must be slammin the bud diets keeping the stress down. Yeah and thanks for dragging Bruce out of the shop and onto the computer in your coiler-all-mtn metal thread, now black beauty is behind schedule...Whiskey Tango Foxtrot- OVA! polaris- looks like you have been speed hiking your way to huge ripped quads...nice! looking forward to seeing everyone again- schleevo dth
  6. looks like all riders have great blowup shots for the wall...especially that TT guy! very nice rides too
  7. Thank you for the heads-up YYZ Has anyone seen the new Indys in advance? what color are they? do they have buckels or ratchets?? maybe a stiffness option??? thanks
  8. i love it, very nice job chubz! i got a little nervous in the beginning when you went slalom on the barrels and came close to the shoulder...was that gravel? I tried a hill in rollerblades half the pitch and length and was not as successful...splat! again very cool.....
  9. two posts and I don't see you suggesting anything except your tanker weighs the same as what? The Coiler All Mountain is perfect for "I need a board that'd be the best possible for carving on ruined pistes and uneven snow with bumps, moguls and stuff" it slices through that like it wasn't there AND it is good in powder depending on your weight and board's specs. If it were built like a graham cracker it wouldn't be the solid versatile ride it is. BV says the titanal version is even better!
  10. not the liveliest but it's not heavy...hit the weight room little guy!
  11. 177Coiler AM with 21.5cm waist- you won't be sorry. The 11.5M sidecut is perfect for reasonably big turns and does a great job carving buttonholes too. On groomed (soft or hard) put the front binding all the way forward and set your stance width from there...it will carve like a race board (thanks enzo). In slush or pow put your rear binding all the way back and set your stance. The deepest powder I've had it in was utah 12" on top of hero groom...probably my best day on a board evaa! At 230# I had my choice of surf the top or carve the bottom.
  12. willy's right on with the analogy. i had the 181 and i threw it in the dumpster after my bro filmed me on it...in slo-mo that piece of chit had a mind of its own! later bought a used coiler am for less money...it hauls my fat ass around like it's late for dinner- hardboots or softboots
  13. glenn, post up some pics when you get a chance. that kind of trip deserves a rub-in!!
  14. enzo- glad to see you're doin real well. how's the hipster after a hike like that? keep poochie away from that rabid chitzu that sometime lives there.......
  15. GUY, I WILL GIVE ONE FREE NEW MADD WITH PTC TUNE FOR THAT FORMULA!!
  16. congrats on the coiler big guy...I'll bet you don't have the sac to go with that pink topsheet theme though
  17. stevo, were you up at the Weirs for Bike Week?? I heard you and your buddies farting by my house all week. sounds like a big weekend...good luck @ Foxwoods & Happy B-Day. How many new Coilers is the wif gettin you? naw I haven't been to bike week in years...it kinda got old and boring beating up hells angles. I think I'm gunna thin the herd in the fall...the wif uses the quiver "issue" against me all the time. On a positive note YES one (1) uno coiler arriving in sept- Bv is throwing everything he's got at it. For crap sake wait till she sees that box Have a great trip to JH and PC- chow some ribs at Zoom for me!
  18. thanks for th invite man. this w/e is out-sox on fri night, foxwoods sat, b-day sun I definitely would like to get up next time though. I can drop the wif off at exit 24, head up for a summa toast, then a tdab run to see who first! Let us know how the new trails are progressing and if loon's goons will be horrifying that side of the mountain this winta!
  19. eh jd, the wif hated the apes on the last rk's so I slammed this one. it's fat, heavy, and farts real loud- kinda reminds me of........me! looking for a chrome spitcup...suuuupersize

  22. did a 5lb robin piss on you on the way in this am??????
  23. I do like the idea of perforated leather. I have zip-off textile pants (very convenient) and heavy leather jacket. After reading everyone I will add some sort of mesh.
  24. Jack thanks for the link and your input too.
  25. tex I was being a big dickhead and joking around about the 4X....thanks for posting that jacket though because I could be by the end of the summa!
