  1. I am looking for an all-mountain board in the upper 160s. I am 188 punds and about 6"2. Any ideas? :D . I have a bunch of boards to clear up and I'll post them on the other side :p . Millen
  2. Same as here - tdifan_2003 . Viva TDI
  3. Well, I don't have too much experience with FP. At one time I did have a FP - I think around 170 and it felt great. I do think, it was softer than the RT, but for that one you need to do a poll here and see what others will say. Also, as I said, I have 168 RT GS and I like it a lot. I think the "s" stands for slalom :D . Millen
  4. I discussed that exact issue with Jeff last year. At about 186 lbs and my size 29 boots, he said, I will be totally fine. just 2 cents
  5. Not to jump in your thread, but I have the same plates and I have Burton Reactors size 29, that I am fitting into. Just some more margin for other big footer out there.
  6. 186 last winter. ALso, I stretched the front knee ligament on my front foot. No falls, most likely, due to imperfect technique . Millen
  7. Look in the FS section. I have a Volkl RT 173 with WC Catecs. I am selling them as a combo, but if anyone wants the board only - we can do the split. Millen
  8. Plates are in excellent condition. I think, they are the short plates. Of note - the New OS short plates are "shorter" :) than the old ones. My boots are size 29 and I was able to use them on these Cateks. Hope this helps. Millen
  9. SOLD Up for sale - Volkl RT GS, 173 with Catek bindings. In excellent condition, waxed at the end of last season and stored. I bought it here last year. I had 2 days on it in Vail and injured my knee. The board is great, but just a bit too stiff for me. I will stick with my RT 168 for now The board has plenty of life in it. As far as I can see, it has never been mashine tuned. Close up pictures upon request. Price - $300 + shipping from 60480. Local pick up will save you money Payment - cash, money order, Paypal. Please contact me with any questions - m_peev@hotmail.com Millen
  10. just try do a serach on this forum and you'll find the answer. Basically, there are 3 numbers that you should be looking for: the liners, the shells and the shell insole. If you find all those and post them, I might be intersted in your boots. L8r ;) Millen
  11. How about that - http://www.nbcolympics.com/tv/index.html?state=2&fromTimeInMillis=1139612400000&lineupId=IL12555:-&zipCode=60480&callSign=WMAQ&genre=Snowboarding looks like 2/13-14 and 2/22-24 are the dates to watch.
  12. Thanks a bunch ;). Sure I will.
  13. Great point, do you know by any chance if the WC used to come with 2 difrerent lenghts KPs? Mine came (used) with only one size and two spacers. Even with one spacer and let's say 5-6 degrees lift and 1 degree cant, I think my KP comes just a little short. Millen
  14. Thank you guys, pretty much what I have been trying to do. The only thing is, when do I do the required turns for lift/cant - before I put the plate on the board and once I put it on, if the plate is still loose, start turning ALL the screws equal number of turns until they ALL start touching the plate? Than tighten the KP and than, turn anywhere between 1/2-3/4 turns ALL the screws again. This sound like I am not going to change the predetermined lift/cant settings, right ? Millen
  15. Hi folks, I have older Cateks. Now I just got a set of the OS2  . Piece of art!!! Well, when reading all the info how to set them up, as well as the tilt calculator from the Catek website, I think, there is a slight diference between the 2 (more than slight ;) ). My real question to you guys is - on the OS2, before you start working on lift/cant, you should do 2 complete clockwise turns on all 4 screws. How many turns you should do on the WCs? Their disc has diferent profile than the OS2. When I do only 2 turns and have the KP tightened up completely, the plate is still lose. Any input will be very much appreciated. Thanks! Millen
  16. When you say size 28 - is this the size on the shell sole?
  17. Thank you Paul, As I said, I am planning on using this board only when there's powder or I decide to go off the trails, where the longer and stifer boards are not....... optimal . Having tried it with an RT 168, I know, there should be better boards for powder. We'll see ;). Millen
  18. Hi guys, I need some help from the forum. I just got the Spline and now I am not sure if I got the right board. I am 183 cm and about 187 lbs (no change since last week  ). I have a RennTigers - 168 and 173. The Spline is my first not purely race board. Is it too short for me. My intention is to use it only when thre's powder. Any input is appreciated :). Thanks a bunch!
  19. ~tb, thanks a lot! I will check my Burton race plates and will try to come close to their settings (lift/cant). I felt pretty cofortbale with them last year. Vermot should have very good places, but for now, we are planning a Veil vacation around February. Last year, there weren't many carvers in Veil, so i don't know if I could find somebody to give me some hints for the Cateks on the spot. Anyway, this forum is great! Thnaks for all the advises! Millen
  20. Hi everybody, just a reminder - it starts tomorrow . http://www.skidazzle.com/ Millen
  21. Thank you guys :), I'll stick with the short ones - they should be OK, and, well, I can;t find long anyway ;). Now I have to work on the lift/cant, something I have not had the pleasure having so far. I have Burton race plates on my other board and I kinda like the setup. It's nice to be able to paly around though. Once again - thanks a bunch and have a safe season . Millen
  22. Thank you guys, Didn't mean to throw a question and not follow up, but just came home. So, as I said I am around 187 lbs and my boots are 29. I am able to fit them on the short plates and there is space for probably half size more. About Catek, I tried to e-mail them as well and the reply was that they're 100% sold out on the long plates. They did not specify if this was for the new or old ones. Millen
