  2. You can dramatically reduce stiffness by cutting some plastic in the shell. Have a look here : http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1034&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 No, the range is limited, and because of plastic / plastic friction the effect also limited. After cutting the shell, effect of the spring is great.
  3. I use Phiokka PH1 since 2 years, and like Nils said, thay are good, rigid, and precise binding. I have experimented breakage of levers, but only with Head shoes, not with Raichle. This problem was solved by using Snowpro levers. Regarding initial request, I agree with Nils. They are too stiff for freecarving. I use them on my Swoard on groomed hard snow and like the accuracy. But I tried them on my Donek Axis (same program than Prior 4x4), and don't like the feeling. This (kind of) board works better with softer bindings, especially on bumps.
