  2. I have a seasons pass at a local hill (Mont St-Sauveur) www.mssi.ca

It's fairely cheap 159.00$ Canadian for 7 days a week night skiing from 3 pm but they don't really check so you can go early. Also with this pass you have access to all their mountains (5 mountains in the same area). Nothing big but it's not far.

To go in eastern VT (Stowe, sugarbush, killington) I go with an organised club. The price for the day bus+lift ticket is cheaper than just buying the ticket if I go by myself. Bonus is, you can sleep on the way there + you can drink a few cold ones on the way back ! :) No stress.

  3. I've been a membre for a while here, not writing a lot but reading and learning a lot over the years. Thanks a lot to bomber and its crew (Fin and Michelle and all the other involved)

I ordered my stared kit today and it was a good excuse to get a set of TD2 in the same time. My old burton race needed replacement anyways !

Thanks a lot for your help and development in our sport. I really wish things go back to normal very soon.

  4. I usually go ride right after work at 3 pm and work in laval so st-sauveur / Avila is 35-40 min from work. So I can get a good 2 hours of not too crowded usually slope time. I never ride on weekend, it's way too crowded for me and dangerous.

Ya, I got it at oberson in Laval, now all they have are last years Hot and they are at 499 + tx (canadian) but I've been keeping an eye on this one for a while for the price to drop. Doupt that they are going to get some more this year.

  5. ya I know, it's the worse to wait and see the boards at home... Both boards are so different. The Madd looks tiny next to the Hot. Good thing I'm leaving on vacation next week and then going away for work. Hopefully time will go flying and then when I come back I'll make the snow dance for an early winter !

  6. I just got last week a brand new madd 158. I wasn't planning on getting a madd but after reading and reading about it here I had to at least try it on and I got a great deal. Now I just need a set of bindings because my race plates are starting to bend.

Can't wait to try the new board in 8 months.

  8. I went to the board shop today and the owner was showing me how they were waxing their board. I'm just trying to find if this is a good way to do it.

1: Take the wax bar and rub it against the board everywhere.

2: Take a Rag (We call them chiffon J in french) put it on the board and put your iron on top of it. Go over the board like you would do normaly.

3: It will leave a tiny film of wax that a scraper and take the excess out. Almost no excess. With a bar of wax you can do a whole season easy.

It takes vitrually no wax, very little loss.

Anyone can validate this? Is this a good way to wax the board?

    Thanks

    Ernie
