  1. those carve boards have some taper to them
  2. He might be right the pureboarding site looks like its going to start selling a rebranding raceplate http://pureboarding.kicks-ass.net/pureboarding/index.php?id=132&L=0&L=1
  3. I just like the time it takes to wax the board...even if I was to buy a board with a extruded base (which would be never) I would still spend the time to wax. Time spent waxing is time away from the wife
  4. I rock a speed 160 with a 200 waist but with 27 hoofs my lowest angles without overhang is around 45. so I agreed with jack and neil. but yeah you have to play around till you find whats the best. I started alpine last year and went though about 10 different stances until I found mine started 45/45 17 width flat both front and back and ended up 51/54 18 inch width 7 degree back cant...and now I have to go though it all over again since I have two new boards to play with.
  5. no prob when I start riding the creek in jan we should hook up
  6. I just checked vernon's calendar and they do not have off tomorrow. So the creek shouldnt be too bad
  7. I check to make sure (about xmas vaca) but if you hit the south mountain that is usually clear of all the jibbers since all the terrain parks are over at vernon.
  8. The Creek shouldnt be to bad on Friday. Kids are still in school. Hunters got the blue (belt parkway) that goes around the mountain and the west mountain is not to bad if its open. I havent been to Camelback in a while but the runs there are really short. I also like Windam alot as well but I have only been there twice
  9. bzzzzzzzzzz I can hear a razor in his future. again the yankees are trying to buy baseball
  10. I got a Shawn White RED helmet dont really like it that much. The google strap on the back sucks and somebody else bought it for me so the fit is a little big. I have an old Boleri (looks like a tankers helmet) that I love but my head got fatter over the years and it does not have any airvents in it so I dont rock it anymore unless its a real cold day.

    Stat 6

Saw one on ebay stat6 on ebay and when I looked at the specs i was surprise on the sidecut on this board. 160cm with a 13.5 sidecut. How would this board ride? seems to me that thats a huge sidecut for such a small board.
  12. I have one 3 hole seven degree with the plastic insert. 15$ plus shipping. email me at jdgang@gmail.com
  13. I like that idea is the best but a true OT board (summer stuff) would be useful.
  14. 1997--was flying down one of the double blacks on stratton on my toeside edge. Started to slide because of ice so I figure I would quick turn and jam on the brakes on my heelside....well hit a huge patch of ice and the board slides out from underneath me. I start sliding on my A** and off the lip on the side of the trail. got stop by a tree that hit the base of my board perfectly between my bindings.....nobody was hurt.
  15. I want ones of those arbors they look so cool
  16. saw this board already wish I was goofy.
  17. Got a pair of physics. One of the springs inside the heel fell out during transportation. thought I saved it but guess I threw it. anybody have this spring?
  18. I like them both to test my skills. long groomers on those relaxing days and tight ones on the days I want to fly
  19. I live in Jersey and ride the Creek most of the time. I started with a FP157 and a Speed 160. This year I got a FP167 since I figure I needed a longer board for those mid week empty days and for the trips up to VT. I plan on getter a freecarve board (most likely a 4WD) next year. I say you can never have enough boards in your quiver. You never know what the mountain is going to give you for the day. To answer your question though even if you have a more racier smaller board when the mountain is pack there aint nothing you can do.
  20. I beleive that would be the center run on Ram's Head dont remember the name of it though
  21. Its my home mountain...it does get packed on the weekend...if you get there by 9am you can usually get a couple hours of riding in before it gets too pack..The south mountain is better for carving but it has really short runs...that will be open on Sat...I dont think it will be fun in you are driving more than an hour...where are you coming from?
  22. I stay local most of the time...I get a tirple play card from the Creek. 60$ gets you three days of boarding plus after it runs out you can add extra days for just 25$ a day
  23. Nope they are a solid red color with the alum. base...Thank for the tip...cant wait to ride them this year..
  24. I still get alot of "Is that a snowboard?" I actually find it kinda funny
