  1. this week took delivery of bomber power plates n have just installed them with my burton hardboot bindings....gonna be fun testing it out this weekend!! anyone tried the power plates with hardboots? feedback always appreciated!
  2. really appreciate the feedback and ideas guys. i have a large foot (13+) so wide boards are sometimes bit harder to find here in australia. i ride high angles on my carving board bubt wanted to sort a more freeride board. the boiler plate aint cheap but i like the idea of the power plates, are they a 2x4 screw mount like the race plates? knowing the stresses put on the bindings when riding makes me concerned doing diy as im not that talented haha the palmer risers look good
  3. tablet playing up'.... the power discs i was mentioning only raises the binding around half an inch. any comments or ideas would be appreciated
  4. hi there, i am looking for some advice and i apologise in advance if this has been asked previously. i ride hardboots n burton race plate bindings . most boards i buy are too slim and cause me to boot out unless riding higher angles. is it possible to buy some kind of spacer/ spacing block to place between the binding and board? im thinking this would allow me to ride less angles at times n still not boot out causing edge/boot to catch? on one of my boards i hqve these round power plates but they onlyraise
  5. appreciate the options! will look into them. would love to go custom but it aint cheap. have been looking at various custom options but there is nothing under 1k. maybe the best option is to save.....
  6. i was thinking about backing off the angles a bit to make it a more relaxed ride and easier to get the weight back in powder.
  7. fellow carvers! would appreciate some advice as am looking to buy a new board. im a big unit, 6ft 7" 230lbs ' big foot and only ride hardboots. already have a carving board so was thinking something more all mountain/powder. something that is wide, fairly stiff and wont break the bank. i live in australia which means i also have to pay fairly large shipping costs. boards i have found which could be suitable include never summer raptor x. any recommendations or advice would be appreciated!
  8. i didnt realise how much i enjoy this site and the forums until it was gone, and i dont even post that often from all the way down here in australia! thanks to those who fixed it and run it! this website has become part of my daily enjoyment!
