  1. mmm.... you think Windham has better runs? not sure....
  2. I've purchased a pair of Level half pipe http://www.levelgloves.com/protection.php?recordID=halfpipexcrblack.gif&info=halfpipexcrroyal.gif they are expensive but I wanted wrist protection. furthermore they are extremely warm. I cannot say about durability though as I am too "young" a carver :D to drag my hands in the snow. But I too would like to coat them with something to protect them.... especially given their cost!
  3. I am a new hardbooter would love to get a few pointers (well... maybe more than just a few...) by anyone on the slopes those days :) just saying

  7. Newbie here ...sorry guys, today I am feeling a little dumb (the hangover doesn't help :D ) and I am trying to set up the first time my new board and bindings. I wanted to set up for a start with a 55/45 ... but where do I see the markings on the plates? from the pics markings are at 35F/50R ...? thanks for your help...

  9. Hi to all. So after 15 years of softbooting I decided that it is time to get into another challenge and look for extra speed at 47 years young :D I purchased from this awesome place  a beautiful used Coiler AMT, a pair of F2 Intec and I found a pair of Head Stratos Pro used only 3 days. The Head have mounted the ACSS system. Now as I said I am just starting, so everything is new to me. But I have been reading about the many mods many are making on the HSP. Now lets get to my question. Since I am starting from scratch, do you suggest I hack my Heads to get more flex right away or should I start as they are now until I get some experience before mods? For a beginner, is the flexibility important i.e. is the limitation to the flex going to hinder my learning curve? thanks!
  10. Just listed on ebay Item #: 111026597045 Great condition
  11. Thnks to all I ended up purchasing the board Neil suggested http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?39637-Coiler-AMT-172-450 Might not be the "perfect" board but I still get to take my wife out to dinner a few times :D and I expect it is a damn good one , especially compared to my 1990 Rossi VAS Race. Should be good for a couple of seasons while I get a few miles under my belt
  12. Nice idea but a bit too much $$$.... reminds me of a joke: Two bulls on the top of a hill, one old, the other very young, looking down at the herd of cows. The young one excited says to the elder "How about we run down the hill and do a couple of cows?" And the elder responds "How about we WALK down the hill and do all of them...?"
  13. First in line! Can I get a pic of the side? email me mr-sandman-it at hotmail dotcom thanks! Mr. S
  14. Thanks to all! i have been riding soft boots for 15 years and just decided that it is time to get into another challenge at 47 years young ;D now I just have to figure out how to identify a metal board in the classifieds...
  15. Hello to all! Newbie here starting to update his first equipment. I started this year with a Rossi Race VAS 169 with Burton Race bindings and Raichle 124's. Now I have coming in F2 Titanium and Head Stratos Pro and I am looking for a new board. I ride in the northeast, short slopes, crud or often ice.... I am intrigued by all the positive reviews on the Coiler Nirvana Balance, but at $850 is quite a expense. I found a 2012 Prior 4WD barely used for $525 and am trying to figure out if I should go all in and piss off my wife a lot :AR15firinwith the Coiler or piss her off a bit less with the Prior. What are your arguments in favor of one or the other? Thanks!! Mr. S
  16. Thanks!! Chris my email is mr-sandman-it at hotmail ddotcom I also pm'd you Ric
  17. Since I am a mp 26.5 I am trying to figure out if the shells are from 260mm to 270mm or from 270mm to 280mm in which case they would be too big. Could I please ask you if there is a range on the shell or only one number? Thanks for you time
