The donek's stiffness was not modified from the stock version, I believe the board is fine for those 170+. I am around 200 pounds and the board rode great.

Barry- I also bought the UFC BX model; UFC BX & the UFC 173N(alpine), were matched to my depressing over weight body. The 163 UFC was not, he had one laying around. I am trying to make the trip to SES, just not sure if it is going to happen. If you have any other questions, please ask. The FLP will be the first of many Virus's for you, just a hunch. RJM

I just picked up a VIRUS UFC 163 and a UFC 173 Narrow. They both are killer boards. Frank just made my 5 yearold son a 99 cm UFC, coolest little board I have ever seen. RJM

Are there any advanced alpine instructors at Stratton? Or any training camps that come to Stratton or a nearby mountain?

They are thebest soft boot carving binding. Better than Catek. Phiokka also makes alpinebindings, however nothing compares to the Bomber Sidewinders. I wanted a stiff softboot binding and I did a lot research, as we all do, people that ride them lovethem.<o:p></o:p>

They are hard to get, the only place that has a decent quantity is POGO; POGO Snowboards recommends them for their BX boards. http://www.pogo.biz/en/accessories/binding/catek.html?page=shop.browse&category_id=27 I love them, I ride them on my UFC and my Kessler Cross. They are expensive 400 euros.

Which UFC? The UFC BX I have phiokka mix one with a disk and the UFC 173 N alpine board I have the new VIRUS Powerlock III.
