  1. I dont have the ability to try anyting here.. the season is over. If anyone has a Lowes home center go in the tool section, they have a silicon & krytex spray. I bought a can to lube up my bike and such... Works really good. Ill buy another can for next year.
  2. I cant imagin its a high peromance wax, It would be fun to go make a few runs on under the lift line with the rock board.
  3. one ball has that glow wax.. It red wax when dry. turns green when it gets wet. leaves a green slim trail for a hour I think that is funny. Great way to get noticed.
  4. Stickers at StickerGiant http://www.stickergiant.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=epzs23&Category_Code=
  5. I use the all temp wax and fluro wax. (hyper zoom) great stuff! (dont get stuck on flats..hahah) I used some tokyo, swix and some burton fluro products in the past. I can say I like the dominator product better. I use my left over swix as storage wax
  6. Lowes hardware stores has a silicone spray that has Krytox in it. I noteced it on Duponts website and had to go to Lowes today to get some stuff for the weekend garden project. And they do have it, big can for about 5$.
  7. How easy is it to pop out of the burton? Now im scared.. lol
  8. Ok thanks. Im pushing maximum on the raceplates to start. (190-200lbs) What about these guys http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3669918306&category=21248 Just a example. thanks in advance. :)
  9. Hi Im a little confused on bindings. I have some standard burton race bindings. They fit my standard Raichle boots. However I was looking to get a extra set of bindings for fun on my regular board. Would My boots fit on the burton step in carriers? http://www.klugriding.com/product_group.php?product_group_id=83 Or the other ones that have the little lever on the back? Thanks
  10. oh by the way, rain x is generally considered isopropyl alcohol and silicon Not much there ...
  11. KryTox comes in several viscosities, Im assuminug for different usages, and tempature ranges. http://exceed.dupont.com/Krytox/webpub.nsf/Pages/index.html Is duponts main page on the product. Im sure you could email them for a "Professional Sample" I use to have electronic companies (motorola) send me "demo" chips.. In looking around Duponts web site I think the "General-Purpose Grades -- clear, colorless; nonreactive, nonflammable, long-lasting; fluorinated synthetic oils safe for chemical and oxygen service" Is probally the product you will be looking for. http://www.tmcindustries.com/krytox.htm you can buy a 1 pound bottle for about 103$ http://www.tmcindustries.com/aerosol.htm I may be wrong but it may be in a small squeeze bottle. (check the MSDS ) ... There you go As far as it getting in the snow and water suply......Hmm Im SURE dupont would not let anything bad happen to our enviroment!
  12. not wax is just that-- not wax its a florinated oil (KryTox) used in things that need a inert oil (pumps, medical stuff) and bike chains!!! (go figure) its Finish Line Victory Lube Booster Shot about $10 for a syringe full look in the dry lubes section. For 14 its not a bad deal for the puck though.. Since I never have used no wax, do you have to strip you base clean of all wax?? .... Just a off thought, why not disolve your favorite wax in some naphta and tissue some on? It will leave a nice film. Just a thought but what do I know... I know naaa-thing.
  13. Thanks for the replys Im mostly just going to use this for free riding and a little carving. Thanks for the Help!!!
  14. I was skiing and a snowboarder going mach 4 turned infront of me. I turned/stopped really way to fast for my ability and... Snap..went my ACL. Had ACL repaired 6 weeks later Doctor cleared me and following season I bought a board and never looked back. Another.. Cousin and myself were riding a narrow trail, I ride a little faster, I was trying to pass him... he zigged, I zagged (full force).. bonked heads (with helmets on) and we must have looked like rag dolls going down the trail.. Ski patrol was behind us, came over looking white as a ghost said the standby "You OK?" We both sat up and said .. "We have helmets, were cool" .. Got up and were really impressed by our wise purchases only a week before. Ahhhhh... Happy endings Paappraiser PS If you never had you ACL busted, be glad.. Id rather have a broken bone. Knock on plastic
  15. Just curiosity, I dont know how many people have "boardercross" boards. But I was wondering what angles do YOU use for boardercross boards and what degrees (cants as well) and are you running a soft/hard setup? I ask because I now have 3 boards, regular freestyle, a race board (with plates) and a new boardercross board (with no bindings) Just thinking as to what to screw on the top of this new BX board. Thanks Paappraiser
  16. I think Blue Mt is jinxed.. I snapped my acl, my cousine busted a ankle and had his snow board stolen, My other cousin pulled a groin.. Etc. but all that aside I always found the conditions at JFBB /CB to be a little better than Blue and the line were a little shorter.
  17. I never thought about it .. there are 2 blues Hahaha Well I m sure that the blue in CAN is far better than PA Take care..
  18. Blue mountain a terrible place to go. Ive had nothing but bad experiences there. broken body parts, stolen boards, etc. I prefer CB or JFbb or ELK Razors edge is the only decent trail.
  19. Jim, Im a newbie to the carving. what size is the board, what are you doing with the bindings, etc im about 200lbs (maximum) is this big ebough for me.. Can you send a picture?
  20. Thanks, those are good bindings. What are you looking at to seperate your setup? I need to see what else is out here as well Matt
  21. Hi Looking to buy a 162 - 165'sh depending on brand. I am going to be using soft boots and bindings. Brand name or age is not important, as long as its a decent board in decent condition. If you have (large) soft bindings for this that would be good as well. (size 10 foot) Just looking to get started in carving and see if this is for me. So please keep it on the mid to lower end of the price range. Please feel free to post here, or email me... Thanks. !! Matt Paappraiser@rcn.com
