  1. Sean,

My Team will be training Mt. Hood and Early season before RTTC at A BASIN. Currently we ride Sigi's and Kesslers.

    Are they metal?

Email me privately at: neilsunday at aol dot com

    Thanks!

  2. Don't listen to the haters who would rather type all day than actually go ride...

Don't worry about liking a kessler... Worry about the day you need to get another b/c the first one is addicting.

If I didnt already own a K Board, I'd jump all over this. Enough of the hatin'.. start appreciatin'...

  3. The Copper Alpine Snowboard Team is still active..

This year Nate Parks set courses and coached.

I was a guest coach for four or five weekends and set for them when I was training my private athlete at Copper.

Jeff White (race dept) will not let that program die! Things will be fine for next season.

  4. when you say freestyle board, i think metal would not be a good choice...

freestylers incorporate many different types of turning, slashing, buttering, etc... i dont think metal boards would offer the forgiveness to ride like most people want to when they strap onto their softies.

in SBX, it is a whole different story, but just freeriding and doing more than carving? i'd stay away. metal holds the snow too much for simple cruising around.

i ride a kessler, and when i put on my forum devin walsh freestyle board, i want to just go out and slide around, arc a turn here or there, but generally just want a lazy ride that still responds.

  5. SKI ROUNDTOP RACING CLUB

    Coach: Neil Sunday

train gates 4 days per week

    10th year of existence.

15 racers - avg age: 13-14 years old.

    Train in Pennsylvania, Colorado

USASA based, until athletes are of age, then Race to the Cups.

  6. sweet stuff phil...

I like the start ramp with the sweet coaching pavilon. Nothing like coaching while in the warm living room looking out at the training facility!

check out SUNDAY SCHOOL SNNOWBOARD RACING...

It's how we are rollin' in Pennsylvania and Colorado! Just Amatuers, but they're the future!!! I use it for my athletes to be able to see video after practice, long after I have left the mountain.

  7. The USASA has posted their invitations for nationals here:

    www.usasa.org

It is very important not to miss the dealine for registration, as the "good ole boys" system of getting in no longer works!

Coaches-- get on your kids to register early!

Good Luck & See Everyone Real Soon.

  8. I will attest to CK's camp being great. I trained 3 days there with CK, Anton Pogue and Ben Fairchild III.

learned alot, and CK keeps a great emphasis on training SAFELY! tons of fun and learned more in three days than in years of personal training.

ps- i may be speaking out of line, but justin reiter was on crutches this weekend at steamboat. not sure how he will be on the training hill???

definitely worth the time, money to spend w/ Klug Camp!

  9. Trayer-

use the search tool for a past discussion on this... we "hashed" out a lot of things on past threads.

the main issue with the kryptons is they are SO HARD to get fitted properly. it took me 21 days of riding in them before i could even stand to have them on for more than 5 seconds...

I personally have done 6 major adjustments to them, and had them fitted two or three times before they worked.

for racing they provide incredible reponse-- but for freeriding, i think the deeluxes are much bettter- simply an easier boot to ride it and a nicer flex pattern for riding all day.

just my educated, personal experience with riding both of these boots.
