Confession - when I first started to carve my ex used to make me watch the "Angie-cam" to show me how girls can ride. It was pretty inspirational!
HA HA HA love it! You'll love riding with Angie - she rips!

floBoot thanks! It was fun to make but I think people decided it was not edible so I brought it home with no one having touched it. :(yes you can buy bacon sprinkles that are vegan...Bacon bits are almost always vegan - did you know you are eating soy when you eat those? They are horribly bad for you - TVP (textured vegetable protein) with tons of salt and chemicals. I only ever eat them when I'm camping, and then sparingly. However, vegans REJOICE! Coconut bacon is on the market, and although I haven't tried it I'm super excited to do so.

YES! I agree fully!Michelle, perhaps we should resurrect the CHICK run/morning/day/night!? :) -
We have asked, taken polls, and discussed. Seems that most people like a themed party at the Bomber house, so this year's theme is OLYMPICS! Come dressed as your favorite athlete, country, sport, or Russian president.
Dress to impress! The party is free, sponsored by Bomber and Donek, and takes place Tuesday evening 4:30-7 at the Bomber house. Please see the schedule for a map.

Tabatha sending you a message :)
-
nope, not yet. Just make sure you get your tickets before Friday.
-
THIS IS IT!!! The last week to order your lift and banquet tickets. If you plan to come to SES , get your tickets NOW! Seriously, don't know if I will have extra lifts and probably won't be able to add you last minute to the banquet as in year's past (we have a new venue!!).
-
energyrail, you can still purchase lift and banquet tickets through our web site until Jan 17th which is this coming Friday. For lodging, you'll just have to check around depending on your budget. Check the St Moritz http://www.stmoritzlodge.com/ and definitely check to see if anyone is looking to share accommodations http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?40482-SES-2014-Roomshare-Rideshare.

Are you going to SES? IF so, PLEASE get your tickets before Jan 17th. I don't know if I will have extra at the tent, so please get them now!
Banquet tickets are also on a fixed number and a deadline, so please order your banquet tickets if you plan to go!
-
Thanks guys, you beat me to it! :)
-
Yes, but only if you start them during SES. In other words, if you bought a 3 day ticket and used the first day on Wed of the SES, you would have 9 more days to use the other 2 days. Same as if you started your days on the Friday of SES - you would still have 9 more days to use the other 2 days.
Let me know if that is still confusing because, it can be. :)

Here's a little something that I made for Christmas gifts http://www.pinterest.com/pin/361906520027260201/. One of the wonderful ladies at the post office can't have refined sugar, so I made these for her. she loves them!
I also made this right before Christmas http://www.peakholistichealth.com/yam-and-peanut-stew-kale. It's hearty and healthy and I LOVED it!

Interesting fact!Sildenafil. Yes, really!Sildenafil (Viagra) dilates blood vessels in the lungs. That was what it was originally researched for, before the effects it is better known for were recognised. Low oxygen concentrations in the air spaces in the lungs cause the blood vessels to narrow. That limits the amount of blood that can flow through the lungs. Viagra is listed by the CDC as a first aid measure for high altitude pulmonary edema. It also improves aerobic performance for about 50% of athletes exercising at altitude.
Also tell him to stay away from the coffee as it is a dehydrator and will just worsen the situation.

Since you are already an instructor, use your skills that you already know. With most people, no matter what their equipment, it's about some "bad habits", form, or just being comfortable having someone to be there to take them to the next level - something they may not have thought about and doing exercises can help them to work on whatever it is they may not even realize they are doing. I would also try to take some video - if nothing else use your phone! Video analysis helps so much just to see what you are doing vs what you think you are doing!
And have fun! Hardbooters are always wanting to get better and improve that carve, which is not a bad day at work. :)

The cutoff date for lift tickets is Jan 17th 2014 to get the discount through Bomber. Please order them today to avoid missing the deadline!
Get it all at the same time - order your banquet ticket before Jan 30th!

Don't forget to go here and check out all of the action http://www.summitexpressionsession.com/ and purchase your lift tickets and carver's cards!
-
Tabatha, welcome! Looking forward to more girls at the event! The St Moritz is also in the middle of town Aspen, and it's filled with tons of SESers so you won't be alone if you decide to stay there.
-
If you tried to order SES items this weekend and found that you could only order with a carver's card, you should be able to order now without that option. You can come and ride with no demos and no after events for free!

Keystone is great if you get it on a weekday - NOT the weekend. ABasin is a locals mountain that we ride at and love. I would not suggest Breck - it's not the best snowboard mountain (ok, maybe in softies), definitely not a great carving mountain, and always crowded. If you go to Vail, try to hook up with Lowell Hart. He's one of the best carvers and a super nice guy. Not too sure about Powderhorn and/or Sunlight - try getting in touch with Grandjunctioncarver. All booked! Starting to plan the ten days between SES and a week in Telluride, knocking around CO and visiting several resorts I've not ridden yet: Keystone, A-Basin, Breck, probably a day at Vail, and perhaps Powderhorn and Sunlight as I have to hit Grand Junction on 2/15. Any recommendations on places to ride (carving, alpine or tele, and softboots)? And don't forget Loveland! Those guys ride every weekend, sometimes during the week, and always on Sundays. A great group of people and super fun to ride with. Check out the CO ride page http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/forumdisplay.php?11-CO and definitely the Yo LCI thread http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?23475-Yo-Lci!!.
