  1. Ok, GREAT new update!  They didn't actually get this board, it was found in another board bag shoved in the back so they probably missed it. YAY!!!  I hugged it. They still got my Unity with bindings but at least they didn't get the Coiler. Man, I am one happy girl today!  Thank you for all your concern and eyes for me - I MISS THIS GROUP!!!!

  2. I don't know what it is about me, but people must really LOVE my boards!  My custom Coiler with Bomber TD3 Step In's with my name on them, and my Unity soft boot board was stolen out of my storage unit this week. They hit a bunch of them, and the only thing they took out of my unit was a tool (router) and my boards. They dug into my board bag that had skis with Bomber Teles on them, left those and all the other skis, and took my boards. ugh. I can't believe this is happening to me again!

So please, Bomber Peeps, be on the lookout for my board. It could be stripped of the bindings but the board is unmistakable. It is the ONLY one like it in the world. The Unity had wood grain Union bindings on it. I'll probably never see that again, but I'm hoping to get my Coiler back.

  3. Thanks for asking!  The restaurant is part of a small franchise, so we've had a lot of help and support from the guys who started the original location. We're the 6th location to open, with the original one being in Frisco, CO.  Some of you may have seen it/been there if you've been to Summit county as there's another one in Breck. Opening a restaurant is NOT easy, but with their help it moves the progress along faster. We are in Pagosa Springs, CO, about 20 miles downhill from Wolf Creek pass and about 50 miles east of Durango, CO.  It's warm and sunny down here!

We opened March 9th and had a wait on day 3 - yay!  There is a big mud season here so April and May were slower but the summer tourists are arriving and it's picking up at a good rate. We've got the local crowd hooked so our lunches are as popular as our dinners!  When it gets slow, we like to spice things up so I send my BF/GM out in the alligator suit to dance around town. People LOVE it and they appreciate the fun atmosphere. With zydeco music playing and free beads, it's like Mardi Gras every day here.

We have a great location - across the street from the Hot Springs Resort which is the biggest draw to this town. http://www.pagosahotsprings.com/.  The San Juan River runs through town and in the summer people tube down it - right past my front door. There's all kinds of little shops and such in the downtown area so people are always walking around. There's a lot of Texans that have 2nd homes here, and Texans love Cajun food almost as much as us Cajuns!  There's also a lot of Louisiana people that live here and the word is spreading to all the surrounding towns too.

There are still a lot of challenges - including staffing - but we're getting there and things are running pretty smoothly at the moment. We've got an incredible serving staff and our chefs are stepping up. People say our service is excellent and they rave about our catfish!  I do both - serve sometimes, cook sometimes, and play manager sometimes too. It's quite a change from being at Bomber but I still do lots of paperwork and take care of all the stuff no one sees, like taxes and bill paying - ugh.

Our location is 438 Pagosa St and our FB page is here, so please like us!  https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Lost-Cajun-Pagosa-Springs/840236726038108 and definitely come see us!!

  4. Wow, tears as I read all of the notes. Thanks for taking the time to write them!  I will miss all of you guys and all of the events around the globe. I've made quite a few friends here and will always be grateful for them - and hope to stay in touch. Bomber is and always will be a part of my heart so I'll be by from time to time to see how everyone's doing!

As for my new adventure in life, I've opened a restaurant!  It's a Cajun restaurant and since I'm originally from New Orleans, it speaks to me. I'm also moving to Pagosa Springs, CO which some of you may know is right below Wolf Creek Pass. Some of the deepest snow in CO!

If any of you are ever in Pagosa, please come and see me at the restaurant or find me as the lone carver at Wolf Creek. I would love to see you out there!

  5. These boots got me through years of carving until I finally got new ones this year. They are in great shape, liners have been molded once possibly twice but no more. Fully outfitted with Intec heels and a BTS yellow springs system, these babies won't let you down.

Softer flexing boots, great for someone who is just getting into the sport or wants a backcountry freecarve boot.

I'll throw in, for free, any dog hair that might be attached.

    Asking $150 + shipping.

  6. This was announced at SES back in February, but I feel it needs to be said here:

I am not doing it justice when I say Michelle is Bomber Industries. She has been an integral part of this company and easily the backbone that kept it running smoothly. Her 20+ years with Bomber has been an incredible journey where she made hundreds of friends and helped probably thousands of people get into hardboot snowboarding. I figure between her and I we have done over 200 on-snow demo days and turned tens of thousands of screws to get people out on hardboot gear. If you called or e-mailed us with questions, you most likely talked to Michelle who was always willing to chat about hardboot gear with you until your questions where answered.

Michelle was always the main force with the Summit Expression Session, with this year being the 15th annual one in Aspen. Sure, I would show up, grab the mic, tell some terrible jokes, but Michelle was the machine in the background making sure everything was set-up and done right. I know for a fact she would spend about two full weeks planning and organizing the Sessions. So if you had ever been to one and considered it a great time, you have Michelle to thank for that.

Michelle will be moving on this month to her own ventures down in southern Colorado. Here last day is next Wednesday the 15th. Everyone here at Bomber wishes her the best of luck and success. And please be patient with us as we try to fill her VERY hard to fill shoes.

Please, by all means, use this thread to wish Michelle the best as well.

Wow, thanks Fin for the kind words but you know, it takes a team to do what we have accomplished in the past 15+ years of the SES and 20+ years with Bomber! I want to put the same kindness back on you, as you have been so patient with me for so many years.   I am really going to miss everyone - all of my "particular carvers with special needs" and mostly I will miss seeing Fin and Emma every day!  If anyone wants to keep in touch you can find me down in Pagosa Springs, CO!

  7. I already got down on one knee and thanked Michelle, wished her luck, and said good bye for now.  I was serious,

But this photo must be one of the first SES events.  I see one of TBs old smiley face boards in the rack I think.  Is that A-basin and did we really get to park the van on the hill????

Seriously.  I don't know who will take care of me at future events.  What's going to happen next time I loose my phone or forget my....

    Thanks Michelle.

Sean, I already am expecting phone calls from you asking "where's my...." (insert keys, goggles, gloves, mind, sanity, etc).  Actually, it won't be the same without that once in a while! :)  Will miss you terribly.

In at the last minute, SkwalUSA is coming to SES with demos and a bunch of cool goodies including beer and apps at El Ri Con (formerly La Cantina in Aspen) on Wed night!  The party is free, just show up at 5pm and have a beer and a bite on them!  YAY!!  Make sure we all thank Ellie for making it happen so quickly!

  9. Hard to imagine anything else going on in Aspen in Feb, but during SES this year something else of epic proportions is taking place in Aspen - the Chocolate Classic!  It's happening Wed Feb 11th at the Hotel Jerome, right across the street from El Ri Con (formerly La Cantina) where everyone is meeting for Apres Ski.

If you want tickets, go here http://eventful.com/aspen/events/chocolate-classic-tasting-festival-benefiting-respon-/E0-001-077334643-6.  It's also a benefit for RESPONSE: HELP FOR SUVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & SEXUAL ASSAULT

Over 30 different kinds of chocolate?  YES PLEASE!
