  1. Never rode without it, but can't imagine riding without it, that would kill my knees. I know because of the small amount of changes I did make to cant and lift (before I found the 'sweet-spot') really made my knees VERY uncomfortable.
  2. Jack Michaud wrote , " what?! you could have sold that for significant money. it was a work of art. the whole picture - the girl of course, but also the pose, the light, the gun in the background, it was awesome. If you could recover it somehow, I'd help you sell it." Yea, I especially liked the light
  3. Souds like fun, seeing how many riders you could stuff into one vehicle for $50 bucks Out of curiousity, where is RR?

    Yo Lci!!

Thanks :) for the re-assurance guys! You guys certainly know the area and weather expectations better than I. Hearing what you guys are riding makes me feel more comfortable in bringing 'my good stuff' (and it's not like I'll be going in the trees or outback). I'm not ready to pull the trigger (yet) just figured it may be smart to be making a 'Plan B', and (on paper) Wolf Creek is 100% open and driveable from Denver, so was curious about the Carving there. Always did like the 'Minimum Legal Trigger Pull' though :D

    Yo Lci!!

Hi guys and Thanks for all of the help (big mario, "ps I learned to ski at vernon valley/great gorge"), I can relate to that ! I've been lurking trying to stay calm (and keep quiet) but feel I may need a 'Plan B'. I'm just about ready to 'Hit the PANIC BUTTON' Really looking forward to riding with the LCI's but conditions seem sparce. What is the scoop on Wolf Creek ? Descent Carving area? I just want to ride without tearing up a board . -- jp1
  6. caspercarver, that is some 'Awesome Riding' seems you have waay too much fun, the locals (is that Snow King?) must be in awe! Thanks for Sharing - jp1
  7. I have an unfinished basement, so I screwed some Eye-bolts into the bottom of the exposed joists at various spacing to accommodate different length boards. Then I ran threaded rod through the eyebolts with polyflow tubing over the threads (so it wouldn't damage boards) and nylock nuts to prevent them coming apart. Just slide the board up and over the back rod and over the front rod and let them hang (topsheet down to preserve camber & loaded with storage wax). Works great for me hope that explanation works (I'm not good at sending pictures, which would make it far to simple). jp1 Dang, after seeing crucible's post, I want to delete mine. That IS SWEET !
  8. Thanks ALL for the responses, and glad to hear I am NOT the only person in the world that likes to keep their neck warm LLB, EB/FA were Interlock (cotton) others had zippers or were 'mock' turtle (guess that's a half-a-neck?) :( Anyway if anyone is interested, I found what I wanted @ Peter Glenn. Hot Chilly's Turtleneck Thermal Top (100% Microfiber Polyester) for $19.99 each. Thanks Again - jp1 (board now in it's daily crazy sloooow mode)

    Yo Lci!!

Making my packing list and was wondering if I should bother to bring my EZ-Pass  (sorry had to ask, it is convienient if there are toll roads).
  10. Ok, this has driven me nuts for the past couple of years . I can NOT find a Lightweight Polypro TURTLENECK Top for the past couple of years ANYWHERE. I use to buy a couple of Lightweight Duofold Turtlencks every year (as a base layer) that I could find just about anywhere, now I can't find a Polypro top with a 'real turtleneck' anywhere. Any ideas where I can find Good Ole' Lightweight Polypro Turtleneck Mens Tops

  13. jtslalom, How come they put the stop signs on the left side of the road in North Jermany :D ??
  14. PBR, wow they still make (use to work for them) that stuff?

    Nsr2?

Awesome, have to wonder what the person on the bike thought at about 3:50 into the video If they ever seen him.
  16. Ah shucks, it's only the summer storage wax I just scraped off the boards :( Anyway it got me in the mood :) although it may be the closest thing we'll see to snow for a while yet. Look on the positive side though at the $$ we're saving on fuel oil
  17. D, welcome back, just not the same without you :) Best Wishes with you and everyone else health-wise (ain't nothing a 'good ride' won't cure)
  18. Personally to me it keeps my ankles in a better alignment with my knees and just makes riding more comfortable. I 'can't' imagine riding without it and would be interested to hear how "it hinders ability to put power to the edge."
  19. fin, I'm planning to stop by Bomber one day to check out the 'Candy Factory' ( and look under the benches for a peek at the SideWinders) and pick up some goodies. Ink, I'll definately post ahead of time. I'll be staying in Silverthorne, got a rental & 2 four-paks for Loveland. Probably won't use them all, as I'd like to hit some other areas also but figured I can unload what I don't use up. Thanks ALL - jp1

Jesse, Oh yea, like when I started to ski, and went to the top of Challenge for the first time  I think the Tohickon and the Bushkill are two most fun local areas (I always liked creeking, except for the Beaver  better than BIG water). The Shades, Big Sandy, Top Yough are serious fun then comes the 'UPPER'. Drops and falls were my favorite, no skill, no brains, I can handle
  21. Everything is booked :) and (2) 4 PAK's on the way! Thanks Ink and Michelle @ Bomber for the information . Hope to hook up with some locals when I get there & check out the Bomber facility. Bring on the snow :D. Thanks Again, jp1

Jesse, nice Vid, who shot it ? Tohickon's a blast. I tried to get my bro's Condo for the week @ Stratton, but it's already taken :( Chubz, " Next season I hope to be in aboat " ?? (kayak) Dang, I may have to drag the boat out of the cellar next year.

Ha, he's hooked! At least he's hooked up with a GREAT bunch of paddlers.
  24. Ink, yes I found that thread last night. I didn't want to bother wasting their time @ Bomber, but did, and talked to Michelle and glad I did ! A little more research and I'll probably be going for a 4 pack or 2. Thanks for the information, I'll keep you posted.
