  1. Was sitting around the dinner table talking about wipeouts with the kids.  Came up with the following list.  Anyone have some to add?

Yard Sale - (Classic) when hat, gloves, goggles, ... go everywhere.

Christmas Tree - Skier falls forward and skis form a V.

Urban Sprawl - Front side slide on the stomach with knees bent and board in the air.

Scorpion - Catch a toe edge, fall on your face and the board comes around and hits you in the back of the head.

Lawn Chair - Heel edge, on your back, fold in half and board hits you in the face.

    Photos appreciated.

  2. Spent a season at Steamboat and worked at the local shop at the bottom of the mountain with a bunch of Australians that were doing the endless winter thing to train on hard boots all year.  They mostly rode on the training hill in town, Howelsen Hill.  When we would ride at the resort, the go to runs were All Out, See Me and Voodoo.  Agreed, crowded on no new snow days, but these runs usually saw grooming as they were the main way down.   They were served by a lift that was not busy though so it was easy to get lots of quick runs in and get a rest on the way up.

Fun days with a dozen 20 somethings carving together in a pack.  It was in 1995 though and haven't been able to find anything close.  Sorry about being nostalgic.

  3. My 180 flew off of one of those Gondola side racks last year when the wind picked up.  Carrying a 200cm board into the car would really PO the skier types.  Better than having that spear land on someone though.
