  1. Hi Bryan, that's a good suggestion, probably makes it easier to get it to someone over there in future. As to the second option of selling it to you, I have absolutely no idea what it would cost to ship it to you in the States. Its my first time there and I'm not clear on how I would do this and where I go in NY to send it to you (I'm probably going to struggle to find our apartment let alone a postal centre!!). But if you can provide me with some basics like rough costs of postage and how I get it to you (i.e. where I send it from), then I'm happy to do that. We're only in NY for a week, so I'm not sure that my wife will be too keen for me to spend half a day organising it, but if it's quick and easy, I'm into it! Cheers mate, Pete.
  2. Yes Alan, it was indeed Richard Wilkes who organised the purchase for me through AJ. Richard's a good guy and is one of a rare breed of hardbooters here in Oz. Re-reading my post, it sounds a bit like I didn't enjoy the board. Not so. I loved it - particularly enjoyed slicing through the early ice on it going fast - faster than I've gone before. But like I say, it's probably a few centimetres too long for where I'm at and needs to go to someone pretty talented who's going to charge on it down some massive hill in the Northern Hemisphere!
  3. I am selling this Kessler 177. Basically by the time I do five turns on Australian slopes, I'm down the bottom. Plus it's a little bit beyond my skill level. I feel like a reasonably good driver in an F1 car. Bought it off an Australian racer guy who got it off a guy called AJ in Canada? Or maybe US. Can't remember. Don't know AJ, but maybe you will. I don't know the specs of the board, but I'm happy to post more pics if required and run a tape over bits that matter. There's a shot of a model number, which might hold some clues. It had a plate on it apparently, which is why it's lightly scuffed on the deck. Apart from that, I've ridden it under 10 days. In the summer, it's had a coat of wax to protect edges, and I've only had it tuned by the technician at Auski in Melbourne who is apparently the best guy in Melbourne and knew what he was dealing with. I bought it for $700US. I'm looking for $600. Or make me an offer. I'm in New York from Oct 17-23rd. If you buy it, I'll bring it over (that's really going to impress the missus) and we can work out how to get it to you just in case you don't live in Greenwich Village ;). You can private message me if you want - pjames at gdj dot com dot au If you do happen to live in Greenwich Village, I'll buy you a beer and we can swap hard booting stories. - Pete.
  4. Hi Al, What would the package be for the board and the step-ins? I'm in Oz, but have a US address to send to. Cheers mate, Pete.
  5. Whoops. Should have looked huh? Still interested, so would like to be in the queue when the pix come up? I have a US address for shipping, so don't be scared by my Aussie location!
  6. Interested. Like to see some pix please. Pardon my naiivety - how do I get to the mjb link?
  7. Interested in the bindings. Willing to split?
  8. Hey Chris, Sorry to stuff you around. I genuinely didn't know they didn't suit my boots. Glad you found a buyer mate, Pete.
  9. Damn... I just realised I've got Fintec heels. Definitely no good for these bindings? Please advise guys.
  10. Hey there Harmless. Sale go through? I'm in line for another pair of TD1s, so I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know ASAP as I don't want to hold the other guy up! Cheers, Pete.
  11. Hi Chris, I'm just waiting on the outcome of the sale of the other TD1s (non step-in), so I'm kind of in limbo waiting to hear. I thought I would know by now, but I haven't. I've been checking regularly. Sounds like he had a buyer, so I'm definitely leaning towards yours. He said he'd let me know for sure. I'll drop a note on his For Sale listing to move things along. However... I don't want to stuff you around, so if you've got a firm buyer for yours, please go with them first. But if you can wait a little, I should find out soon! Cheers, Pete.
  12. Interesting. I may post a Wanted to Buy - front and rear bails for TD1 after I get these. Just would like the flexibility of having them in case I want to set up my older boots for either myself or a mate. Cheers guys.
  13. Thanks Chris, yep I have Intecs on my boots. Reason I was after those other TD1s with rear bail was for an older pair of Raichles with the Vibram sole so I could have an emergency setup. In the meantime, put me first in line for those SI's of yours. BTW, does anyone know if I can source a rear bail that I can swap into these TD1 step ins in an emergency? Cheers, Pete.
  14. Hey Chris, if I miss out on the other set of TD1s for sale on this forum, I'll grab these. OK? I'm in Australia, but have a US site to send to and can transfer $ to your account. Easy. Cheers, Pete.
  15. Hi there Harmless, I'm in Australia, but I have a US address to ship to. A friend goes back and forward a lot. All good. Payment is easy by bank transfer. Let me know if Noir gets in touch.
  16. Nothing succeeds like excess. I'm glad you butted in. Otherwise learner idiots like me would never.... well, learn. OK. Now that I have learned they fit, what say you Mr Seller? Do you want my hard earned? If no one else is interested I shall have it wired into your account via the magic of the Australian banking system in Greenbacks. I shall go back to the fridge and grab me a beer while awaiting your reply!
  17. Beer has been my friend these past days and my enemy. But a brilliant last quarter by the magnificent Geelong Football Club has prevented any lasting pain in the brain. I'm sure this is the first time the Mighty Cats have been mentioned in this forum! Sorry again, I may have misread that you said they will suit boots OVER 29MP - I'm kinda new to the hardboot caper - I'm guessing as my 28.5s are less than 29MP that these bindings won't fit? Or am I wrong again (I hasten to add that I am sober right now). Despite my Australian-ness, I am a serious buyer with money that can convert into real $US
  18. Sorry, not the sharpest tool in the shed here... my team just won in the Aussie Rules football and I may have a slight hangover... Do these work for 28.5MP or not? What does 'Not mine' mean? I must have missed something! Sorry again. I am interested though... am I in line or in the reject pile again? :)
  19. Hey there. If they work for 28.5MP boots, I'll take them if the others above don't. Please put me in line. I've missed out lately and I could do with a win! - Pete.
  20. Sent you a PM today. Lemme know!
  21. Can you put me first in line? What are the specs? I can give you a US address to send it to and a mate can bring it back to Oz. Let me know!
  22. Hey guys, I really like the look of the Silberpfeil of last season with that pointy nose and the angry attitude. I'm only a few seasons into this caper and I'm trying to get my head around all the tech talk. I'm riding a ten year old 167 WCR Prior which was given to me by a great guy here in Melbourne and I bought a 158 F2 GTS last season from YYZ. But I love the look of the Silbers. Someone said they're not as easy as what I'm riding, but I have no idea. Any advice here? What are they like? Don't see them much for sale around here? Love to buy one second hand. Anyone seen any? Thanks, Pete.
  23. Hey Atom Ant! When you sticking some pix up?
