no hardbooters except for me this morning, i switched to softies for the afternoon slush. and because i suck. lots of people with non-park stances carving heelside trenches though. there was a definite trail at one point, most folk were taking the same line it seemed.

bit late for our season, but couldn't turn down a good deal.

curious note: in the two videos, the riders seem to be switching boards, as you'll often see the same people riding different boards, switching between regular and goofy.

i saw one guy this year in a hardboot setup, and he was mostly doing big GS trenchdigging on an all-mountain board. have seen a few other snowboarders who carve in softboot setups, but it isn't the norm. i maybe carve 2/5 turns in softboots .. its difficult to get a clear run most of the time.

cairngorm reckon 70" on the top plateau, 32 in the middle. we've been on since the middle of november and looking good until the middle of may. crazy stuff.

it isn't that great, really. only 200m long. better than nothing, and a good way to get out of the sun.last resort here reckons they'll have usable piste until the end of may. ;)

terrorize skiers at the indoor snowslope, in my softboot setup. 22°F all year round. ;)
