I've been having a bit of trouble with my heelside turns. I've been thinking that this may due to my having front toe lift and back cant. It feels as though i'm just not able to put enough pressure down on my heel edge. This may be a problem of using ski boots. I've adjusted my disks to be more impartial or a little biased to the heel edge so i'll see how that works. Does anyone else have a similar problem or idea of what I may be doing wrong. I think my form is generally pretty good.

I just bought a pair of burton reactor hard boots and have a couple of issues with them. I have been riding for 7 years with ski boots and thought it was time for a real set of boots. However these boots seem to be really really soft, I am having trouble with heel lift which causes a number of problems at speed and they have caused more shin bang than my ski boots. I have size 10 feet which are rather skinny. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do or are these boots just the wrong ones for me? thanks

I have also found a pair of burton reactors. How do these comapre, they look like a better boot. How does the sizing generally work between these two boot brands? I have narrow foot and generally like for my heal to be held solidly in place. thanks

I've been looking for a pair of hard boots to replace the ski boots that I am currently riding and I came accross a pair of UPS Alp Free boots for about $60. Does anyone know anything about these boots? They don't look like they are the best boots in the world but I am wondering if they may not be an improvment over my stiff Lange ski boots

I was wondering if it is possible to convert a standard binding to a step in? I am thinking of possibly getting a set of snowboard step in boots for days that I dont want to ski as well as board. Is it possible to get the step in components, maybe just one set for my rear foot to save money? Would there be any issue with having a standard front foot and a step in rear?

that's too bad that they just folded like that. I haven't ridden it yet, this week sometime, but it is a really unique board to look at. yery clean lines with a really great green color.

hey thanks for the information about the board. Do you know what market they were aimed at. For instance are they a more all around board or aim at a little more agressive style? I ask because I've only ridden one board previously (for more than five years) and want to figure out what style of board I prefer. thanks again. walker do you know why they went out of business?

I have a new board for this season and I'm trying to get a little information on it. Its a XXX Snowboard the model maybe called a Grun? There wasn't a lot of info with the board and I haven't been able to find any information online. thanks

Hey I just got a pair of TD2's the other day and they look great I can't wait to get to the mountian. I did have a question about what metals you used in the bindings? The cant disk looks aluminum, the bail assembly Stainless but the plates I'm not really sure of, they are very blue. Ti? Stainless with cobalt? great bindings walker

I would suggest that you use the plates to lift the toe on your front foot and to lift the heel on your rear foot. This should allow you to maintain a wide stance comfortably. good luck

I sorta figured Wachusett would be a mess on the weekend, hopefully I'll get out Wednesday I just need to get some bindings to throw on my board. mirror70 and klaucke it seems we all go to WPI, its a small world isn't it. We should try to get together sometime to ride maybe if we have some time over break

Hey, I'm going to school in worcester and getting back into riding this winter after a break of two years. I want to find a good mountian to get a pass at for the winter hopefully one thats close. Previously I rode at Sugarloaf I've been looking at three options Loon Mt. Wachusett (seems kinda small but i've never been) American Skiing Company All East pass (sugarloaf, Killington, Stowe...) any insight would be great. I'm also would like to find a shop in Mass that stocks Alpine gear or good websites to buy equpiment from.
