  9. unfortunately not entirely new but in good condition is this softboot setup I bought recently: a Sims Daytona 172 from Ebay and a pair of F2 intec boots & bindings I managed to buy second hand, for some reason F2 stopped manufacturing these great boots. excited to find out what this ride is like...
  10. sweet! love the hubs what brand? I guess riding snow is easy with these fatties!
  11. Thanks for the pic! got the Sims in the mail today, sweet! looking very much forward riding it I'm a collector of oldschool skateboards so an added value for me is the fact that it's a real Sims. cheers, Willem
  12. thanks for the helpful answers, what does SL mean?
  13. Hi, I bought this Sims Daytona 172 from Ebay, a real beauty and didn't cost me much. Googled it but not much except for some specs, found this though on Carvers Almanac: "Sims Daytona: The forward loaded camber requires an aggressive carving technique" What is a forward loaded camber, does it refer to the shape of the camber or does it mean it's off-centred, something else?
  14. cool shot! reminds me of stuff done by comic book characters, how did it end?
  15. 1986, Switzerland. Very, very few snowboards around, I guess a lot fewer than in the US at that time. I had this 'Snowfish', the idea was you could use it as a waterski in summer and as a snowboard in winter. Downside was it didn't have steel edges so you could only use it off piste. But it did work ok in powder if you managed to keep your feet in the rubber strap bindings. The other pic is me in exactly the same spot but 25 years later, time flies:D
  16. Handcrafted in Whistler & shipped to Holland...
  17. thanks! I'm sure you can get some haring in the Holland House during the Olympics! any snow yet in Vancouver?
  18. ...somebody helped me with putting some extra screw thread on the king pin which runs through the center of the RAB (I read that option somewhere) and must say it helps. You can actually stretch your front leg a little bit more, not much but still. Next thing I'm going to do is skip the theoretics and buying of xtra stuff and start practicing on a slope! thanks again for the input.
  19. thanks, tried them but no, I guess ordering from the bomberonline is the fastest option
  20. sorry, did'nt read the reply that well... thanks
  21. Thanks! I'm going to order one right away, what is best if one lives in Holland, ordering from bomberonline and take the shipping-hassle for granted or is there an alternative closer by? Germany? Are you an american based in the Netherlands or dutch like myself by the way
