  1. Up for sale is an Oxess BX board. I bought this board 3 years ago used. The specs are as follows:

    -163cm length

    -260mm waist

    -12M side cut radius

    -flex 180 lbs+ (approximate)

-Edges set at 1 degree base, 2 degree side

    -Construction: Titanal

    -Age:unknown

This board isn’t winning any beauty contests. The top sheet has multiple chips that were filled in. The edges are sharp, but thin. There are pictures with a dime for reference. The base still has pretty good structure. There’s one filled in core shot that is pictured. This was filled right after it happened by a shop. Some scratches, but nothing crazy. I can peel off the storage wax if someone wants more info.

I’m told this board originally belonged to Liam Moffatt. I’m not sure if it is custom or stock. This would make a great early season board/trainer. Or for someone who is trying to learn soft boot carving on the west coast. It’s a bit of a hand-full on the east coast with the side cut.

Asking $250 shipped. This includes up to $50 in shipping credit via pirate ship, and includes all PayPal/Venmo fees.

I think it’s ranging from 9.5 to 10 if I had to guess because I won’t buy a performance softboot  board with a side cut under 9 and I wouldn’t have bought it if it were say a 11.5. I couldn’t stand the overly tight sidecut in my old hovercraft which was 8.5 and was looking for more it’s likely 9.5.

I will say this , this is no beginner board  and it’s not for the guy who gets 5 days in a year .

I ended up buying the new Hovercraft 2.0 at 9M (though aI can flex stretch the side cut at high angle carving so it’s ..ok)  , wishing it was an Ultra craft carbon  2.0 with a 9.75 but alas … no.

I just get too much powder when I ride to not have a powder nose and I’m a pretty boring left right only  carver , not doing all the flip about spin around stuff like the Koreans or Japanese .

Thanks for getting back to me. While that’s an appealing sidecut, the waist width is a bit narrower for what I’m looking for. My preference is around 260 with plates. I have a 12M Oxess which is just a bit too much legs for my local trails. Recently got a winterstick which is a 9-10 sidecut, but wood core. Geckos helped, but want something with metal. The search continues.

I got some from Frank at Virus when I was making my own modified version of Geckos last year. Please post here if you find out the original supplier from Kim.

Did the virus fasteners fit property on geckos? I emailed virus and the said they would not fit.

I was able to get ahold of Henry Kim. Super nice guy. He’s gonna send me a few from the stock he has left. He confirmed these were custom made in Europe. So I’d say given he only has so many left, and they aren’t stocked by a fastener company; these will become extremely rare as the years go on.

If the supply is ever totally exhausted, I’m sure a machine shop could make some. But I imagine that wouldn’t be cheap.

  4. Does anyone know of a lead on spare gecko mounting bolts? The taller 10mm ones for a cross or free. One snapped on me last night. Nothing in the McMaster catalog. I sent a message to Henry Kim to see if he can connect me with the supplier, or has any extras kicking around.

    Any leads are appreciated.

  5. I have a 163 Oxess, with 260 waist, 12 sidecut. Never ridden it with hard boots. I run it with soft boots 30F 12R. I also run gecko cross plates set up asym. The geckos did make it much easier to shorten up heel side turns. The 12 side cut is about all I want on the east coast. I ride at sugarloaf and Sunday river in Maine. Not super narrow trails, but nothing like out west. I would say a 16 side cut will probably be a bit of a handful for east coast free-carving. That’s just my 2 cents.

  8. Up for sale is a 2016 Coiler Nirvana Energy 174. This was originally built for @Jack M. His name is on the tail which is currently covered by an ECES sticker. I bought it from @powdahbonzlast spring. It is a fantastic board. Rides very smooth with plenty of pop when you need it. The only reason I am selling is I got a great deal on a K168.

    Specifications:

    -174 length

    -12-14 radius

-edges beveled 2 degree side and 1 degree base

    -20cm waist

-Built for 180 pounds. (I rode it at 165 and it felt great to me)

I would consider it to be in good condition. There is some slight discoloration from a yellow TD2 bumper on the white stripe. It is mostly covered when mounted. There is also some light top sheet chipping which is pictured.

The edges are in great shape. The base is clean. It has some light scratches. These could be stone ground if you are very particular. It has only been ground once to my knowledge. It is freshly tuned and waxed with SWIX HF8.

Asking $400 plus shipping if required. I can FaceTime or zoom call should the buyer wish to see the board in greater detail.  PayPal F&F for payment. The board can also be picked up locally in Portland,ME. I also ride Sugarloaf and Sunday River regularly. Feel free to message with questions.
