  1. So YYZ is steering me away from the 158cm F2 GTS and saying the 153cm might be a better fit. Just going by the stats on the board, the 153 is rated for 30-50 kg rider (66 - 110 lbs) where the 158 cm is rated for 40-60 kg rider (88 - 132 lbs). My daughter is 120-125 lbs right now, so she falls outside the rated weight for the 153 cm board. YYZ is saying the F2 boards are actually stiffer then they are rated for and the smaller board would be better. Does anyone have any experience with this board.. are they correct in saying the 153 board is a better fit? YYZ no longer has the 158 cm board available, but does have the 153 cm board in stock. I can still find the 158 board on ebay if needed...
  2. I'd be interested in the set of metal centre discs if you still have them. Thanks.
  3. Might be interested in this board if its still available.
  4. I've never posted a pic here before. I'll try and get one. I was just using the burton board to compare the hole sizing.. it was way smaller.. These bindings are one piece, no removable center disc.
  5. I bought a set of the F2 youth bindings off ebay that I found from a business that was selling off its old stock. So i bought a set, hoping my son might want to try alpine in a few years. Now that i have them, it looks like the bolt pattern for them is smaller then the normal bolt pattern to attach them to a board, it has a much smaller foot print. Can these bindings only go on a certain type (smaller?) board? I put them against the smallest Burton board I've got and they wont fit. Do I need to get a certain board (only an F2 youth size) to go with these bindings? Thanks
  6. Wolf, I think I now have a couple. If I'm in need of more I will let you know. Thanks
  7. rwmaron, I would definitely take the two 3 hole center pieces.. From the write up on the round wedge, doesn't sound like it is usable for plates? This would be used with a set of Burton race plates.
  8. Is the Burton provided 7 degree wedge considered a Lift or a Cant... or both? Maybe I've been calling it the wrong thing.. I've always just used it on the rear foot with a flat front binding.. Thought this was appropriate and how it was meant to be, never questioned it, came in the box so figured it was meant to be used. For setting up the boots to the bindings, the front and rear blocks both have number markings on them for setup.. Do I center the boots on the middle of the binding/disc where the center mark is on the sides, or do I center the boots by having both the front and rear block numbers the same? Eg: both front and rear blocks set on position #2.. I've currently got the boots centered on the disc which leaves them at position #3 on the front block and position #1 on the rear block for both bindings..
  9. rwmaron, would you be able to send me a pic of the wedge? Is it 3.5 degree or a 7 degree cant? I've only dealt with the newer style Burton wedges, not the round ones. Would the center piece work with both the round and wedge cants? Thanks
  10. So I should do away with the rear cant wedge and run both front and rear bindings flat? If that's the case, why do most bindings come with a rear cant? Just wondering. I've got her bindings set at 45 degrees front and 39 degrees rear.. Is this a good starting point? There seems to be so many different opinions...
  11. Does anyone know of any Youtube videos for Burton Race Plate installations using the Cant Wedge as well, or any good descriptive write-ups for them? I'm installing a set for my daughter on a Factory Prime. I'm guessing the 2 arrows on the sides of the plate that mark center should line up (as close as possible) with the lines on the bottom of the boots that mark center, much like a ski boot does on the center line marked on skis... Am i right or wrong? Thanks
  12. I'll take a wedge and center disk if someone doesn't want to break a set...
  13. Thanks. Need more than 1 if anyone else has one they don't need anymore.
  14. Looking for a 3 hole center disc that goes inside the Burton Wedge Cant. If I can find 2 that would be even better, but i do need 1 for sure. I would even purchase a Cant Wedge with the center disc if anyone has a set. Thanks
  15. Interested if these are still available. Thanks
  16. She was riding the ALP this past season in hardboots. She did ride a regular snowboard with softboots for awhile but didn't like it, wanted to go for the carving board in hardboots. She previously was a ski racer and has since left that. The ALP is in rough shape, blown out edge in the back, delaminating in one area and just generally worn out.
  17. Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking the F2 GTS 158 is a good fit so far. I had her on an old Burton ALP 156 and also on a 164 Burton Factory Prime. She didn't like the Factory Prime, said it was a bit to much for her and hard to turn. I think she liked the softer flex of the ALP and shorter length. Getting ahold of Bruce at Coiler is pretty tough.. he's only about 45 minutes away. The cost of the F2 from YYZCanuck is great and they are close to me as well. Don't really want to go for a full custom board and then have her decide its not her thing anymore.
  18. Looking for advice on a board for my daughter. She's 14 yrs old, 5'5", 122 lbs. She was using an old 1998 Burton Alp 156 last season that is in pretty bad shape. I've been looking at the YYZCANUCK website and found the F2 Speedster Equipe SL 145cm which looks like its made for youth and smaller woman riders, but might be a size too small for her and wouldn't grow with her. Looks like this is the largest size available and is rated to 55 kg/120 lbs max. There is also the F2 Speedster GTS in 158 cm (40-60 kg/90-135 lbs) or the 163 cm (50-75 kg/110 - 165 lbs). What are peoples thoughts on either of these boards. She is a recreational rider that is looking at doing some home area racing in the next year or two. Thanks
  19. I got a Flux 162 at the start of the season to replace my Burton Custom 158. I agree completely with what your saying, this board is awesome. It holds a carve if that's what your doing, and is easy to slid around if you need to get out of a tight situation. I wouldn't hesitate to order another one.
  20. Thanks, but looks like I'm to late.. post looks like its now flagged as sold.
  21. Got one cant plate and one 4 hole insert. Looking for a 2nd cant plate and two 3 hole inserts if anyone still has any they want to let go of. Thanks
  22. Are there any Canadian or U.S. distributors for the IBEX bindings (old Burton style). I see you can get them from carvers paradise, but I would rather deal with a distributor closer to home and not deal with the Euro conversion and shipping. Thanks
  23. Sorry, she is getting started in hardboot riding.
  24. Interested in the original posters board or the same board offered by Teach if either is still available. Thanks
