  1. These shells are in very good condition. Size 26...289mm Palau liner has been molded once. $175.00
  2. Shells are in very good shape as they were not used very much. Palau TF liner has been molded a couple of times and is in serviceable condition. Powerstrap is not on but can include one. $175.00
  3. I’ve used Deluxe and BTS from the moment BTS came out many years ago. Always liked it. This season I switched to UPZ. I didn’t mind the stock spring system but since I spent so many years on BTS I wanted to try DGSS. After a few days I can say that I do prefer the DGSS system. I don’t have anything negative to say about BTS at all. Both systems give you more control over your flex as well as a more progressive feeling in your flex. I’m currently using the RC11 black tongue but also have the light gray tongue. I will experiment with those as well. They are extremely easy to change out. I’m thinking perhaps gray tongue on very warm days and black on colder to see if I can keep flex uniform. BTW: It was very easy dealing with Roberto... BTW: Since I probably will not be in Deluxe boots anymore I will be putting a few BTS systems up for sale soon.
  4. I’ve been working to ‘dial-in’ to my new RC11’s after always being in Deluxe with BTS. Pretty darn different... Got a lot figured out and REALLY like the fit. Now for some fine tuning. Curious as to how many UPZ users have switched to the DGSS system and how it compares. Has anyone tried DGSS and then gone back to stock? Much Thanks for any input...
  5. I’ve got 3 tickets I won’t have a chance to use. $25 each...
  6. I lost a lug shaft screw on my front foot toe just a couple days ago. I always check most of my bolts every couple days but honestly never checked that one. It caused a wipeout when the shaft backed out enough to let right side of bale off block. Not sure if this is exactly related to what you had. After I bend the bale back in shape and replace with new screw Loctite will be used for sure. Maybe it was applied at time of manufacture and just wore off over the years. These were TD3 Sidewinder Step-in’s
  7. At 66 I attempt to keep all the forces in balance and avoid any excesive twisting. I try to use the boards design to do most of the hard work and I still ride pretty darn aggressively. The biggest compromise I’ve made to age is that I don’t ride first chair to last like I used to years ago. I start very early and finish around 2:30. Usually best snow and fewest people. Actually, snowboarding gets me in the best shape of anything I do during the year. I will have over 30 days on my board this year. That being said, after my knee surgery the doc told me it would only last 5 years. It’s been 20 years now and the knee feels reasonable good. Based on my personal experience, I’m a big believer in hyaluronic acid injections. I’ve gotten them in my knee every Fall for the last 20 years. MOTTO: I Will Until I Can’t
  8. I've always known that riding is more of an anaerobic activity but was always curious as to how high my heart rate got on an average run. At 66 years old I thought it might be of value to know. I've started wearing a monitor some days and found that on a typically aggressive top to bottom run at an average western resort (Colorado mostly) I was hitting 150 bpm+ by the time I'm pulling up to the lift. The good news was that my heart rate recovered to it's active base in less then a minute. Just curious if anyone has done anything similar and if so what info they might have gotten.
  9. Just wondering if any of you tried one of these to help alleviate the heel lift in Deluxe hardboots...... If so, what was your experience? http://www.yyzcanuck.com/shop/boots/deeluxe-heel-harness/
  10. I want to explore switching from my Palau liners to Zip Fit’s. Does anyone have a recommendation on the best place/boot fitter to get them from in CO? Thanks Much...
  11. My Family consists of 2 softbooters, 1 hardbooter (moi) and 2 skiers... The 2 softbooters and 1 skier have spent some time riding hardboots but only when they were younger and only for a couple seasons. Thus, everyone has a good conceptual framework of how to make it all work together nicely. All are very skilled which helps too...
  12. Zip Fit, eh? Which Zip Fit model/s are people using in their snowboard boots? I've never used a tongued liner in mine so it would be interesting.
  13. Unfortunately, my current Palau is a 26 so it might not work well if I go 27 in the UPZ.
  14. Very useful feedback... Sounds like a good idea to maybe go 27 with a molded liner and footbed. I’ve been using Palau liner but will check Intuiton liners out too. Thanks Much....
  15. I’ve always used Raichle/Deluxe but curious to try UPZ. Yes, I have ‘heel hold down’ issues in my Deluxe. My foot measures 27.6 and is somewhat wide at forefoot and high arch. I’ve downsized to a 26/26.5 shell in my AF600/700 by using a Palau liner for a comfortably snug fit. Even after going down a full size I still have to use shims to avoid heel lift. I’m guessing this has been asked before but my question to those who have made the Deluxe-UPZ switch is..... Based on your experience would I be able to use the same size UPZ shell as I am with Deluxe or would I be better off with a 27? I’d like to consider that question in regards to using the stock UPZ liner or a moldable liner. I could not downsize a full size without a moldable liner. Are the UPZ liners good enough to consider using over moldable liner? I’ve seen Bomber’s boot comparison study but wanted to get some user feedback as well. Thanks Much for your time....
