  1. Come to Sölden (Austria) this coming weekend and test some of the new Virus boards, like the Stingray Evo III or the new Black Death III :D Seems a good group of people is getting together this weekend to get the season started I am sure happy to join in as well. Need to get an early start on these so not Aspen conditions :o
  2. Hans, I saw this or a similar one (not 100% sure) last weekend when I visited Virus. I sure like to try it, as well as the new UFC narrow and Black Death!!! ... and as I said in another post, now is time to make use of the (still) weak(er) EUR (who knows what will happen to the USD or the EUR!) I believe Virus sells the Worldcup UPM in the US for $1200 shipped as a pre-season special
  3. I also rode the RC10 with the mechanism open and the amount of possible flex seems not less vs. my Deeluxe Track 325 with BTS which I consider a very soft boot with lots of possible forward flex…
  4. After testing the RC10 and RC8 during the Carving Masters I decided to finally switch from Deeluxe to UPZ! Wolfgang (UPZ) just puts so much effort into his products and the fact that he is listening to “us” and puts "our" suggestions (if they make sense) actually into production wants me to be even more supportive. When I tried the RC10 vs. my Deeluxe it felt like I was wearing a sneaker, the weight difference is just insane! Perfect flex pattern and super fit. I will end up with the Virus edition of a RC10 (w/ soft tongue) for the carving machines and the ATB for riding my Virus La Glisse Powder Guns. On a different note, do you guys realize that buying a Virus board in Germany now and paying with USD puts Virus pretty much “on sale”! I heard of a few guys who already made use of the weak Euro and Frank was knocking off even more $$$ to be in the price neighborhood of North American manufactures. Thought to mention this, because it was said in the past that Franks boards are too/sooo expensive. NOT the case. If in doubt give him a call ;) Cheers from Switzerland
  5. So it seems, unfortunately, nothing changed at Catek. TOTAL BUMMER!
  6. Did anyone here receive any feedback from Catek lately? I emailed Jeff regarding some important issues a week ago and have not received any feedback at all

    WCS Aspen 2010

Wow Ken! We love it, great work Thanks for sharing!
  13. That's why it also comes in 163, 173... But even the 183 was an amazing ride in a foot of pow. Cheers!
  14. Nice review John! I did not expect different after I saw you riding the UFC yesterday. Defiantly a great ride!!! @ Michael. Frank is only in Aspen until Saturday…
  15. Hey Patrick! Sorry to hear it turned out to be the way it is!!! Anja and I wish you all the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope to see you again next year.
  16. John, I rode it in about 5” of pow and soft groomers. Very smooth and easy to control in the pow due to the lightweight, especially at high speeds. Carving the groomers was totally effortless and fun, also at higher speeds! I like for all my freeride boards to be stable at high speeds and to also carve well on groomers, but unfortunately this FLP comes too close to my Virus "La Glisse" for what I use it, and, the fact that I am over packed for my flight back to Europe, I made the decision to let it go now. FYI, someone is up for a treat and will grap this for a really great price ;)
  17. SOLD! This board is in absolute great condition; I received it back in November and rode it only once!!! The reason I would give it up is, it is very close to my other powder board and the La Glisse, which I also only ride when it has a good amount of pow on the ground and my narrow sticks just dive away :o Some info here: http://shop.virus-snowsports.com/ go to: AVALANCHE FLP Fu**ing Light Project and select English SOLD Cheers!
  18. In case someone has some polycarbonate spacers, please email me: icom@netwood.net

    Aspen turns! ???

Heavy snow coming down just now, finally! Could set up like a nice pow day tomorrow... Edit: As usual, it only came down the typical 3-4 inches for this season, oh well.
  20. Will do. Conditions are, hmm, fast! Oh yea, I had to cut back on those little bastards already :1luvu:
  21. The “World Carving Session” that is ;) Jörg and about 47 European and (also Canadian!) Carvers arrived yesterday in Aspen. I mean, 47, come on!!! My respect and congratulations to Jörg to put up and fully organize such great event/venture and especially to motivate so many people to make this trip over here!!! :biggthump Have fun!!! PS. OK, So who from the US is in to join the WCS or Carving Masters in Europe this year? (Just kiddin, I know, it’s a long trip and and and… Cheers!)
  22. I had my boots punched at Gorsuch here in Aspen (at Aspen gondola). I think his name was Jerome, he's the boot guy there... was a pretty easy job and turned out good for me. Good luck!
