  1. Jose,

Performance on snow is all about the tires. I drove a light, rear wheel drive pickup for years that did just fine in any snow it saw so long as I had good snow tires on. Obviously I'm not suggesting you go this route, but a front wheel drive sedan or wagon with good snow tires will out perform an all wheel drive vehicle with all seasons. Heck, my '90 Toyota Corolla with Hakkapelitta 10s did better than our '07 Forrester with budget studded snows at everything but standing starts. Point is, whatever you get, get the right tires on it.

this brings up another good point, studs or studless? opinions please....

  2. man, you really showed them....you should be a ****ing constitutional lawyer...have fun at your tea party rallies.

go put your head back in its hole while all of our rights are stripped away, god forbid someone tries to stand up against injustice.

  3. Don't try that in Seattle... here is what happens when you carry a simple folding knife with a 3" blade -- and it is closed. What 4 secs?

And the poor homeless guy could not hear in one ear.

Yes the guy is dead Court started today on the police officer.

wow, I hope he is being charged for murder. Note to self:don't carve wood in public in Seattle. One more thing that makes me hate Seattle even more.

  4. all good advice here, only thing I would like to add is test driving, play with every freakin' knob and function of the car, SLAM on the brakes, FLOOR IT going up a big hill! taking it for a spin around the block doesn't create real life driving situations that we all deal with. If it is a manual, bang through the gears fast. If it is automatic manually shift up and down 1-2-D. Don't be afraid to put a car through its paces. If the dealer is with you, a good dealer will expect you to rod on it (to a limit of course). Acouple months ago we were car shopping and test drove a Kia, ran fine until I took it up a hill. When I floored it, it sounded like the engine was ready to explode but we didn't go any faster....gutless piece of crap.

  5. thats a great deal, when I was in highschool they had coupon books at the bank with 2for1's in each booklet. So of course I ran into the bank, stole about 30 booklets and ran out! I would find a "rich looking" skier in the ticket line and ask him to use the coupon....I rode for free all winter.:ices_ange

  6. damn, yesterday may have been free and I still had fun with Mark, but the weather was ROUGH! I'll be back though, nice mountain and a bit cheaper/closer than Schweitzer. I like the gondola too, there are always some idiots driving up/down any other resort I've been to. But when we were going up, got hit with a gust that damn near took my board out of that crappy aluminum box:eek:....board rode inside with me on the way down.
