  1. I have 2 file holders for doing side edges from The Winning Edge in a 91 degree and a 92 degree. Do these file holders give the same 1 and 2 degree bevel that the Swix and Toko holders that say 89 and 88 degrees?
  2. Hello fellow Bombers. Please join The Church of Snowboarding on Facebook and help spread the word of snowboarding and reach a whole new audience that needs to be introduced to carving (no we are not a real church but just a facebook group that we are trying to grow). Your support of all things snowboarding is greatly appreciated :)
  3. Seriously people...just answer the question posed and leave the commentary out of it. Someone complained about his bindings saying he should get new ones. Why? They obviously are not broke and continue to work for him so why spend money on a new set of bindings when he is apparently happy with what he's got. If it ain't broke, why fix it? No you do not need a new set up unless you are unhappy with what you got! New does not always mean better and just because someone likes something new does not mean it will be right for you. IMO if you are happy and enjoy the performance of what you are riding than save your money and spend it on a trip somewhere and enjoy the experience or invest it and be responsible. My gear is nearly 10 years old and I love every minute I am on it. There may be better stuff out there but I leave the hill happy with what I have. Don't chase the dragon thinking if you just have this new piece of equipment you will find that high you are looking for. Instead, work on your technique, find the right angles for you, perfect your cant, etc... Most people think they need something new but never found how to ride what they had properly in the first place.

  8. I am a dedicated soft boot carver and have ridden hard boots and even had a great set up but went back to softies because I just like it better. Maybe someday I will go back to Hard booting but not right now. With that said, I have tried the Volkl Cross and actually sold it half way thru the season bc I did not like it. I ride a Burton Fusion which is their boardercross board they sold from about 2000-2004. For me it is perfect. I have ridden 3 seasons with a 160cm and this year found a 165cm which I am very excited about. I also have Burton elevators on all my carving boards. I did not thing they would be a big deal but I really can edge and power my board better with them. I ride Burton Drivers and I ride the SI system and love it. Easy in and out , but the biggest bonus is how stiff they are. Freestylers and tricksters may have hated them but for carving they power the board beautifully. I used to try and ride steeper angles but I settled last year on a 33f/24r set up. For me that has worked best. Anyways, hope this helped you some and remember...there is no shame in going soft.
  9. I am actually looking for a larger carving/freeride board for my friend. He is 6'4", around 275lbs, with a size 13 foot. Looking for a Donek Sasquatch or another good wide carving/Bx/Freeride board. Guessing a board in the 165-170+cm range.
  10. definitely interested. Please send pics.
  11. Thanks. My GF has a white and pink board. If you have a set that are white or 'girly' and would fit a womens size 8.5 boot she and I would be very thankful. Let me know.

  16. Yes I know that this is a carving site (which I do) and yes I know the SI binding system has been discontinued for years, but I am wondering if anyone knows of where there is a supply of SI equipment. I mean, thousand of boots and bindings were sold over a 5-6 year period, there has to be a place where surplus equipment ended up or where people are unloading their SI equipment. While many hated the step in systems, I loved it. Here in the midwest where runs last 30 seconds, the convenience of step ins cannot be beat. P.S. Anyone have any opinions on the Flow binding systems? I have read mixed reviews/opinions. I am looking for a boot/binding system for my GF and she WANTS step in equipment.
  17. These boots have been worn less than 5 times and are in like new condition. They were just a little too small for my foot. These are Burtons stiffest soft boot and a great boot if you are interested in carving but don't want to committ to hard boots yet. The SI system is stiffer than a strap system and is closer to a hard boot than not. The boots are a men's size 7. Retail $220...asking $80 plus shipping. If interested please email me at jnovak.bray@gmail.com.
  18. I have a Burton ALP 164 in GREAT shape. I'll send it to you for $150 shipped.
