For the Eastern Carvers, Belleayre Mountain in Eastern New York, has $10 lift tickets all this week, January 23-27, 2006, for their Winter Festival Week.
After you are done carving up the place, come over to Carve with me this weekend at Windham, NY.

dbrsb,
Why not try having the kids rent ski boots? That must be better than soft boots. Then use the proper angles.

Carp,
I'd love it if you could make one "Stream of Consciousness" for me, too, for the price everyone else pays.
Fortunately, I already have "Board the World".
Thanks.

According to CBS.sportsline.com, the next segment of the Jeep series will be broadcast on 1/14, Saturday, 3:30 pm on CBS, EST. I don't know if they will include any Alpine Snowboard Racing, but it looks like they will on the February 19, broadcast.

We just had a HOT Sunday At Windham, the Midatlantic's Hottest Carving Mountain!!!!!!
We ripped the mountain under the lift shocking the uninitiated spectators on the hardpack with fresh snow on top.
In attendance were:
Ronski, our Guru, on his new Prior WCR 167, with turned up tail for riding
switch
Ronski's wife Addie. (Chick Carvers are Hot!), on her Renntiger
Jeff on his Renntiger 158, doing some EC carving
Prentice on his "virgin" 2005 Madd 170. Well, "you gotta pop her Cherry
sometime". Better late than never
Ward on his custom modified Donek 163
Matt on his new black Prior 4WD, purchased on Ebay
Peter promises to show up next week, dump his skis, and
show us his new Bomber TD'2's and Burton Alp
Wade on his Asym
Bricky on his Donek 171, FC1
No sign of the NYC carvers, this week.
A good time was had by all!!

The "smart" people at NBC have a poll on the NBC website where you can vote for your favorite Winter Olympics sport.
They have 4 skiing choices (Alpine, Freestyle, Cross Country, Jumping), but no mention of the 3 Snowboarding disciplines !!
But, of course, you can vote for Curling!!
The Skiiers have been voting like crazy!
To see for yourself, go to http://wnbc.com/olympics2006/index.html
To flame them try: sports@wnbc.com
Why not tell them what you think? Don't be bashful!!
Update - my email to sports@wnbc.com, found on their website was just returned as "undeliverable".

Does it have the stainless steel topsheet? If so, I believe Volant made the boards for Aggression. I own a 172 and 162.

C'mon you carvers. I thought there would be many more posts to this thread. The season is almost over, so you have the time to think about this.
Thanks.

Astan100,
Go to Keith, a professional bootfitter at "The Pro" in Hunter, east of the entrance to Hunter Mountain.
Then come over and ride with me at Windham.
Bricky
-
astan100,
I'd love to ride with you at Windham, 8 miles fom Hunter, on Saturday, although there is a small chance I will go to Jiminy Peak, instead.
Give me a call at 732-604-0594.

I added more to the Dinner section in the original post.
Dinner at Christopher's Sports & Spirits, The Mill, 145 Main St., Ludlow, 7pm, Thursday and Friday. Also, Saturday if they are not packed. If we have a consensus to go elsewhere for one night, say Saturday, we can.
I didn't receive the minimum of 20 for the Group ticket sales.
John Gilmour for the "Get Dialed In" seminar, will be up Thursday and can stay for Friday if he can get a ride back home to Boston on Friday night. Looks like we may still get the "Get Dialed In" seminar to be a success.
Can anyone drive John Gilmour back to Boston Friday night?
Minor changes here and there.
Print it out just before you leave.

NEWSFLASH !!
PSR, ERIC BRAMMER WILL BE RIDING WITH US ON THURSDAY. He has 20 years of Snowboard instruction under his belt and is a walking book of knowledge on the history of Snowboarding.
Ask him how he did in the 1st Snowboard Nationals!
He will be riding with Chris Nelson, Level 3 Instructor,at Okemo.
He and Chris will be available to help out anyone who wants some lesson time/tips.
If he misses the gang, he will do some early laps under the base quads then move on to Timberline/Arrow for a bit. Then over to the Solitude area by mid morning, when the light is good. (he says beware of that area due to flat light in the afternoon).
PSR will be on his Tanker 200 early and his Volkl Cross later. He will be wearing a red jacket, gold-ish helmet, black pants and red boots Chris will be on his Madd 170 or Madd BX.
Above info is from an email PSR sent to me.
