  1. I dont understand that jiberish. I think it is a phone number but I dont get it. I will bring the bindings with me on the 26th to MES.
  2. it is really neat, but for the money and durability I dont like it as much as the GoPros.
  3. goon, you want to meet at Afton this weekend? I will be there early morning on sat. or at 3pm-7pm on Sunday.
  4. Bonzo, Right on. I would be more than happy to ride with you and talk about the NSR. To be honest, the board is a beast. It rails and likes to go really fast. It is very tiring to ride, but is a lot of fun to ride in the gates. I also purchased a VSR which is my "go to board." If I was not in the gates ever, I would go with the VSR. The NSR is really awesome on 2 and 7 when they are empty, but you try and ride it on a crowded Sat. and you are destined for impact. Sunday the 30th is the USASA race at Buck Hill. So I most likely will not be setting at Afton that night.
  5. goon, Do you work in the cities? do you ever go to afton to ride?
  6. goon, I think $75 would be fair. As far as soft booting first, I have seen skiers go strait to hard booting and be really good at it. There are a good amount of hard booters in the TC area. I do not know about instructors, I am actually looking for one myself for my girlfriend.
  7. Yeah that was me on my NSR. You should have stuck around, the course was pretty fun. There is always next sunday night!
  8. Tonight was pretty good. Course was set on easy 2. I was the only one, so I ran it about 10-11 times then pulled it cause I was tired (I am so out of shape). The conditions were pretty good. Michelle was playing in the hylands while I was running the course.
  9. Hello Buck Hill Friends. Every Sunday night starting tomorrow will be Snowboard Stubby Course Night at Afton @ 4pm on Chair 1 or 2.
  10. 2 was phenomenal at 9am hero snow groomed to perfection. It was a good time. Michelle and I spent most of our time on 7 and 12, as she was hard booting the whole time. side note: anyone know of a good alpine instructor? preferable female alpiner? Tomorrow night at 4pm is stubby fun time. Talk to Nate today and it looks like we might be setting on 2.
  11. Anyone in MN want to buy my TD1s? I upgraded to TD3s. 3 and 6 degree cant disks, red bumpers, only have 6 base screws though (cause they have always been on burtons). I would prefer to sell them to a local, before posting them on the regular for sale posting area.
  12. anyone going tomorrow morning? Supposed to be cold and windy
  13. lets us know if it works. To be honest I am not sure that even a smaller strap would do the trick for me. My girlfriend uses these boots now with my franken strap that started the tread, and they work ok. I think I might just put standard ski boot clamps and ladders on both sides, or hard mount one side of it.
  14. there was no editing for that. It was shot in high speed and taken strait off the camera as you see it. the camera was a casio exilim ex-fh100
  15. I like that quote too. In hero snow like that video link I can keep my shoulders positioned correctly, but in the slow mo video I felt a little odd going into the turn. So I revert to poor positioning. I am def. working on more solid body positioning.
  16. yeah. I def. noticed that. I am trying to take off.
  17. 2 slow motion carves on the 2011 170 VSR <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4-IqjQYm8c?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4-IqjQYm8c?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
  18. I am gonna call Nate today and set up Sunday Nights for us on whatever is available. So from now on plan that Sunday Nights will be snowboard friendly courses set at Afton from 4-6pm.
  19. my intention is to ride is when it is too crowded, just snowed over 4 inches, in trees, or in spring or early season conditions. I have a soft boot set up that I do not want to put back on my feet. It is easier to be able to just switch boards. It will be nice to rock my NSR/VSR in the morning then just swap over to an all mountain when the area gets crowded. Futahaguro, thanks for the heads up. but I am not gonna buy anything until I experiment this weekend at Afton.
  20. Thank you all for the input. I am gonna try some boards and see what happens, then maybe make a purchase. This is definitely the route I will go for an all mountain, rather than the $800 hardboot specific boards. MUD I would love to, but I think Sunday nights will be stubby course time at Afton. I will be there on the 29th for the USASA race.
  21. thanks Karl. Michelle and I are using nationals as an excuse to go to CO (I assume I qualify as I was the only guy in my age group). But we were hoping to be able to plan it a little better and spend some time not at Copper, and limit the time needed to take off of work. Also, I think you guys do an amazing job with the G-Team Kids. My statement about interest was in regards to the adults. I would love to be wrong about that though. I think your spidey sense is right. I would buy a pass anywhere if they had a once a week adult alpine race league.
  22. Karl, Do you have any idea out of the week of nationals which day will be the alpine events?
  23. USASA is not about the adults, it is about the kids. I don't mind paying to the local USASA org. cause it allows the organization to function for the kids. And when you take into account the costs, $25 per event seems pretty reasonable to me. I think what I would really like is for another organization or ski area to host a "for fun adult league" that would be more affordable. The problem there is lack of interest. I have set stubby courses on two separate nights now with only 2-3 people showing up (including myself), and that is totally free (other than the afton pass).
  24. I just got into stand up jet skiing last summer so I am a member of: http://www.pwctoday.com/ http://www.x-h2o.com/forum.php
  25. Anyone out there rocking a standard directional freeride board with hardboots as their all mountain? I am debating on getting something like: http://www.the-house.com/9862hdin10zz-head-snowboards.html Anyone else doing this?
