  1. Good looking out there...  pays to inspect your equipment for sure.

What size boots and your weight for reference?

I'm generally using the innermost holes unless reversed toe piece for my 279mm sole UPZ boots.  155lbs with the short boots so way less leverage on mine for sure.

I don't think the corrosion on mine is structural but I don't like it nonetheless.  I'll look to clean up and possibly recoat as well.

  2. Is it groundhog day?  I swear I read this before.

I never had BTS on my Raichles and when I switched to UPZ RC11, I was shocked by how much they flexed and soon ordered the orange race springs to help stiffen them up.  I proceeded to add a lot of preload to the orange springs as well...  I've since been backing off the preload to get them to flex more.  I no longer feel that they are super flexy.

I was running max forward lean in my rear foot, and considerably more upright in my Raichles.

Once your foot is in the liner and boot, you can't lean back to let everything close up?  The liner can't be that stiff to prevent you from pushing your calf back into the cuff?

Thanks - I've just adjusted my softboot board to 40°F/25°R, 21" (53.34cm) so not too dissimilar.

  4. @CB Utah mentioned his new favorite is a run at Park City these days.  I enjoyed Brighton when I was there last March (until I popped my ankle in the hardboot).  Had a pass from work to ride at Sundance so took advantage of that as well.  I liked Brighton better (was puking snow that day).

  5. This asymmetrical binding combos means you'd need to purchase a regular or goofy version too?  I think that may prove difficult to manage at production/sales level in the longer term.  Niche product then further split between L and R versions.  Won't be high volume...

  6. Rode with 21" stance last weekend, so 2" wider than my alpine stance.  Felt good / fine, didn't feel too wide.  Will keep it like that for now.

I am riding same toe and heel lift (3°F/6°R) on both setups.  The only difference is the softboot bindings have an additional 2° cant built into the footbeds.
