  1. there's a set up at the place i ride that that has a table top, then a kicker to the far right of it, shortly after the landing. when i'm riding soft boots i'll usually hit the table and make a big hard carve to the kicker.. most people say it looks pretty cool. (i soft boot with a duck stance, btw)

  2. hey thanks man! i actually race at afton, which depending on the hill, is a little bit curvier. and yeah it's a nastar GS course. But i'll see if i can stay more up right. So far though, some of my most laid out, high G turns have come a the race course, while trying to maintain a conservative line.

  3. Since I'm not attempting to get on the podium I just go wide ... Gets me out of the skiers ruts as well.

I guess you could use a pair os soccer shin guards if you must.

i thought about the soccer shin guard thing, right after i wrote this.

but yeah, i'm just gooding wide right now any way. but i saw a few snowboarders, last year, who could ride right up next to the gates... i was never really able to ask how they did it...

  4. Richards is a half-pipe guy. They need to carve or they can't maintain their speed.

oh i didn't know he was pipe. my bad... although i still doubt he can really carve that amazingly. but yeah, i guess he's better than i would've guessed...

  5. I think the shock they experience when that slow snowboarder they buzzed half way up the hill is standing right behind them when they stop in the lift line tips the conversation in my favor.;)

How about the shock in the experience of zinging right by a slow snowboarder only to have him hot on your ski racing ass after words. :p

I personally get a great deal of respect from ski racers. although i slight loss of control today nearly threw me onto the slalom course lol

  6. So today i went snowboarding after work, only to find that my forward lean on my front boot wouldn't lock. well i was with a friend so i just thought i'd take it easy and just enjoy their company... well after a few runs it started to lock again, and i was a happy camper.

but my question is why would it fail to begin with? i have a pair of '09 T700s that have maybe 11 days on them. Make no mistake, i ride hard, and i just got done racing on them for 15 runs, yesterday. But is it really that worn out?

  7. yeah, i'm not quite so sure you were a bad omen, anymore; i was having a pretty off day; i fell 2 more times, after we departed.

but yeah. i was watching the cars pour in, from char 2. i got the heck out of there when i was done playin' on the nastar course (which i got a bronze medal in!)
