  1. 2 Schweitzer carvers arriving Tue, riding Wed - Thur. We hope to ride with the locals.
  2. It finally quit snowing a few days ago. And the snow conditions are really good. Yesterday and today the visibility was good too. So good that I have been carving the steeps. Jack’s Dream, Bud’s Chute, Stiles, Upper Kaniksu. Ya the no joking around steeps! There are ruts down all of them.
  3. I have event vouchers and well be at the Cabinet Mountain Coffee shop in the Lake View Lodge from 7:30 to 8:30 every morning. If I am not there or you are running late give me a call. 208-610-6131
  4. Never leave home without a pow board.
  5. The $49 event tickets are good from the 19th to the 24th. If you are coming to carve I would suggest coming on the weekdays when 600 to 800 people are sharing 2900 acres. On a normal weekend depending on weather there’s about 1800 to 2400. On MLK weekend 4000 to 4500 maybe 5000 on Saturday. not a lot of room for carving. But if you like fireworks, live music , torchlight parade, night skiing and guided snowshoe hikes. http://www.schweitzer.com/events-activities/mlk-weekend-2016/ I hear it’s a blast
  6. To get the event ticket price you will need a voucher. The Vouchers will be easy to get all the local carvers will have them.
  7. Pow day after pow day after pow. All lifts all terrain open. It's the real thing.
  8. The rain did hurt some for sure but they are still open all the way to the top. Tomorrow is $10 day and they plan to open the Grate Escape Qwud.
  9. MLK weekend? ya right. $73
  10. It’s a 20% discount on any Schweitzer lodging. Visit the website or call 1-877-487-4643 and use the promo code “NICE”. It’s valid for the nights of Jan 18th-24th. Event price tickets are $49 including tax. I’m not sure if Liftopia is a better price or not.
  11. A fresh blanket of wet heavy snow opened up all the terrain of the basin express. There was some good stuff out there.
  12. No way! I thought for sure he’d be a returner. Didn't he buy a new board right after?

  14. I think it will be all worked out by the weekend. In years past I think the lodging was a 10% discount and the lift tickets were 20%. There are some lift tickets on liftopia. I don’t know yet if our discount will be better.
  15. January 19th - 24th. Discounted lift tickets. Lodging discounts. Free Nastar with snowboard gates. Photo and video shoots. On mountain BBQ. Limbo in the terrain park. After ride parties. T shirts. it’s kinda fun.
  16. Opening day I though was pretty darn good. I'm up here today and will be here tomorrow morning too.
  17. Sunday at the sunrise lodge 8:30am. one more day.
  18. Cool we didn’t have a guide today. Hopefully there will be some corduroy. Haven't seen any so far this trip.
  19. If I had a pow board with me today I might have rode it . I did rent one for tomorrow. We will be at the sunrise lodge at 8:30
  20. I will be at the Sunrise lodge when the ticket window opens. No, I did not bring a pow board.
  21. I have been stranded at my place for days. No internet or cell service. The roads are too muddy to get a car out. I walked out today and got a ride to the mountain to get my new board. Will be renting a car and leaving for Bend in the morning. I am staying at the Motel West.
  22. Talked to the Doc on scene at the crash and he said Octavio is good to go. Where is Igor?
  23. dkp aka Mr. Pang is not going. His hall pass has expired. It was a good run.
