  1. If you board is a Coiler and it looses camber it is shot !!!! Coliers are built with a core that is cambered not pressed to have camber. The only coiler I know of that lost camber also lost it in an accident ! Moral of the story is if you do not want your stick to wilt buy a Coiler.

  2. Whitewater in BC slated to open on Dec 10th. Son indicated backcountry sledding is off to a good start but avalanche threat is very high. Local bump in Ontario has been making snow for past week but heading into a warm spell. Tremblant looking pretty good for season start and Lake Louise held mens world cup last weekend.

  3. I think the point might be missed by the casual viewer that alpine snowboarding is considered a blood spot by many on this site. Unless you are an Olympic contender and need that board tuned to hit the first gate in 20 yards I have been negligent in that I really do not worry about buffing like it is the hood of my car. I figure after 100 feet of snow sliding it is about as buffed as I need it as long as it was scraped flat after hot waxing. My uncle used to be fanatical about his hard wood floors until he slipped on a step and wound up in the hospital. His new standard was 80 grit sandpaper. I guess I am jealous that some people are so organized they have the time to gaze at their reflection on the base of their boards. Perhaps I should ask will wax protect my board from rocks and grass because that is what I will be contending with in the early season.

@Shred Gruumer you did it again!  Another beautiful design and Winterstick looks like they nailed your ideas!

For those of you who do not know, Shred has been designing boards and pushing the limits of builders for 20+ years.

Can’t wait to pop some wheelies and hit some sweet jumps with that beauty at Whitefish!

More like driving builders to therapy ! But they all seem to recover .

  5. Down hill edge always the killer and you can't learn that on skis !  My son was always the park rat but enjoyed alpine board to race. Still hauls it out and sends me pics from Whitewater the absolute black hole of alpine boarding in Canada. Sometimes being the only boarder at a mountain is cool .

Yea... all those who were the hero, who got natural immunity because they were exposed on the job, and then were fired for not taking the experimental vaccine; yea, they caused the shortages. Let's go with that....

At what point would you no longer call it an experimental drug ? After all it has been around and used by millions ?

  7. Rather than refer to nonverified sources could we restrict comments to verified sources and personal experience and observation ? We are now at the point no one wanted to be in Ontario. Numbers have exceeded previous point and  hospitals have mandated that employees be vaccinated or placed on leave. The province of Alberta is getting military assistance and hospital emergency depts. are strained operating @ 170% capacity. Patients may soon be flown to other provinces. Living in a rural bubble as I do this is sounding more like a bad movie script where the hero is creeping closer and closer to that dark corner in the plot where everything is about to go to shit . Time to close my eyes and hope for the best.
