  1. Thanks for your replies! I agree that the UPM would be better suited for setting the plate but I'm limited to the board I have and I'm not technically inclined to do my own inserts. Kieran, you suggestion is just what I needed. I didn't notice the goofy vs regular alignment of the logo; and being deaf, I can't know if Sean explicitly said the plate is supposed to be aligned this way. Looking at it after I read your suggestion, the hole pattern on the plate does seem to indicate the plate should be turned around for appropriate binding placement. I'll try it.
  2. Sean overnighted the missing parts to me. I just want to make this clear: he provides excellent customer service! As for my plate, I did race on it and placed 4th and 3rd, respectively (Men's Open class), but cannot yet give a good report, as my setup wasn't optimal. See my other post under Carving Community about my plate setup and the issue I had with bindings.
  3. Below is a pic of my Donek plate setup. I need your help... I race and like to have my bindings centered, or as close to centered as possible, on the board. The board you see in the pic is a Prior WCRM 177W. I setup my Donek plate according to the best lineup I could get with the holes on my board and the plate. Unfortunately, the plate is set back farther than I would like. You can see this in the pic: the centerline of the board's effective edge is marked with a black line on the sidewall of the board. It is clear how far back the plate is in comparison to the centerline. Now here's the problem: I mounted the bindings on the plate as close to centered (according to the board's centerline) as I could. If you look at the 2nd picture, you'll see the mounting holes on the front of the board. I had to mount my bindings to the very first holes on the plate. This is directly above the sliders. This led to the front plate mount acting like a pivot point any time I put weight on my front foot. I actually raced a USASA GS (Men's Open Class) last Friday afternoon with the board like this, after only about 3 hours riding time on it. Yes, I got the plate and set it up the night before! I had to consciously keep my weight back while riding in order to not excessively bend the board at the pivot point. I'm going to try to reset the plate on the board but based on my initial setup, I don't think it's possible due to the variation between the board inserts and the mounting plate holes. My question for those of you who are riding plates, and it seems to be a no-brainer: where do you mount your bindings on your plate? Are they behind the sliders so that there is no pivot point? Please post pics. Feel free to critique my setup. I want to achieve the most optimal setup I can and continue to use this plate for racing.
  4. Yes, I read the FAQ. I want to post some pics but they're bmp and when I resize them according to the FAQ, they're still above 100 KB. How do I get these photos down below 100 KB?
  5. Pics below are of an O'Sin 4807 178 cm with a customized tail (cut by Dennis Nazari at Salty Peaks!) I was thinking of selling this board until today... Snowbasin got about 1 foot of fresh powder today (not much for Utah). I took this baby up there for some fun and... What was I thinking?! Yes, I ride it with TD1's. (No, the front binding isn't mounted at that angle, it was loose when I took this pic.) This is one sick powder board! I'm only 5'5" and 140 lbs soaking wet! This board is sweet, even in the trees. And it carves well. Today was the most fun I had so far this season! I just wanted to share the good vibes! Get out there and get YOUR fun, however you like it.
  6. I guess I sold my race plates years ago and forgot about these cushions. Because I had an awesome day today playing in the pow at Snowbasin, I'll give them to you FREE (just pay shipping). First come, first serve.
  7. SOLD The Burton step-in... see pics. I will include ONE cant plate and all mounting hardware. The lever is on the heel bail. The lever is missing the plastic adjustment screws but they served no purpose when I used them. These are metal bindings, not plastic. If you have Intec Step-in heels, the heels will not fit these bindings. $75 shipped CONUS; more if Canada or international. Any questions, PM me or reply here.
  8. SOLD $125 shipped to CONUS. More if to Canada or international. Seems there was quite a bit of interest in Burton Physics over the past few months. I have a complete set that is used but very little wear and tear. These plates are metal, not the cheap plastic that we all broke numerous times. See pics. I'm including ONE cant plate and all mounting hardware (pic only shows six mounting screws but eight are included). These will fit Burton 3-hole or the standard 4-hole pattern. Any questions, PM me or reply here.
  9. I just got my Donek plate via FedEx today and I would be able to tell you after this Friday, Jan 28 (GS that day), but my plate arrived with missing parts! I am so bummed right now. :( I've sent e-mails to Sean about how soon he can get the missing parts to me. I'm hoping for USPS overnight.
  10. It has everything you're asking for. Total luxury facilities, no joke! No on-site lodging, but plenty of hotels in Ogden, only 20 minutes away.
  11. Are these sold? Mounting screws included? (I didn't pay attention to the pic before I sent this!)
  12. I found a BX board to ride. Thanks for sending your board info and pics.
  13. Reid/teach: I found a BX board. Thanks. Hope you sell the Elan, it looks nice.
  14. I have the entire Physics setup, including heels, if you want it. Make me an offer.
  15. Check this out! http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=14061952&cat=193&lpid=&search=tanker I can't afford it but it's right here in my hometown! I might go check it out.
  16. Reid, Still would like to see pics. Send them to me via email or post here. Thanks!
  17. Try this one. No idea if it's current. (801) 334-0180
  18. Saw that crash! No fun! Back in 2001 (I think it was), I was videotaping an FIS PGS race at Park City. I was on the downhill side of the course near a photographer. I was on the course illegally, but because I had my team jacket on and a camera, no one said anything. One of the female racers came flying off the course and was less than one foot away from crashing into me. At the speed she was going, it wouldn't have been fun to crash into me. There was also no time to move out of the way. Close call! I feel bad for that course worker on skis who got hammered. Glad all are okay.
  19. I haven't made a decision yet, but I appreciate those of you who posted here or sent me PMs. Decision will be made soon.
  20. Pat, Thanks for the spec info. Long time, no see. Hope you are still making trips to Utah. NitroCarve, I just now saw your reply. Sorry for the delay. Am replying by PM.
  21. Both boards have 19 cm waists. I don't have the sidecut radius or other specs. Sorry! I'm sure someone on this forum may know the specs for these boards. I do know the 184 is from 2001. I don't know the year of the 159. NitroCarve, what would you pay for a 10 year old board in great condition?
  22. Who's gonna pay $200+ for these boards?! What the hell was I thinking? Make me an offer!
