  1. Kind of crazy that they don't put instructions with the boots. Check here: http://www.bomberonline.com/store/boots/boot_specs.pdf That should be all the info you need. Hope that helps!
  2. Me too! It looks as though the weather will be ok too. I have been worried that it would just be raining on us. That would totally suck. Get everyone there and then not want to ride.
  3. Aaron and I are contemplating heading up tomorrow with you. Are you still going?
  4. Conditions were good today, right from the first run. No ice. Just very carveable cord! Front stayed good till around 10:00. Then went to chair 7 and kept on carving. Started to get a little wet by noon. But still pretty good for holding and edge.
  5. I will warm up the runs for you Albert!
  6. I think I would prefer the 1:00 feed also. That just seems to be our natural pattern of ridding anyway. Kill it all morning, then relax and recover! I definitely agree that we should make it an official Jim Pryor event.
  7. I will be there with my wife. Any one else? As is typical, find me at chair 7 or 10 after they open.
  8. It is true that Dennis is hosting the BBQ for us. But I'm not sure he knew what he was letting himself in for . This little gathering has grown like the proverbial snowball rolling down hill gathering speed and mass! I thing we should all make it clear to Dennis that we are willing to help if need be. After all who could have anticipated 15 or 16 hardbooters (or more at this rate) showing up at the same time at Summit!
  9. Wow! Nice to see all of the participation from our so cal carvers. I thought the last gathering was amazing. Hard to believe we could do it twice in one month.
  10. Officially adding my name to the list for the 25th. I was at Summit today, and it was great carving snow all day. Sadly I was the only carver on the hill. No lines any where all day. A very good day .
  11. Seems like a thread a week or so in the past mentioned those. Hardbooter.com had quite a writeup about them. http://hardbooter.net/serendipity/index.php?/archives/12-Surefoot-Review.html Kind of expensive. But I hear the people who get them love them. Did you do the heating and molding on your own? If so, I would not give up until you have had at least one chance to have an actual bootfitter try to make it work for you. Most will charge a nominal fee just to heat up and fit liners. 30 minutes might save you hundreds of dollars.
  12. +1 for hooking up with some experienced carvers. I literally wasted years struggling on my own .
  13. Hey Kerry, I am contemplating Wednesday too. I will post this evening and let you know.
  14. Had such a good time at this gathering. The only lines we stood in were behind all the other hardbooters on the chair . Conditions were excellent all day. Thanks for all the pics Andrea! It is soooo cool to have a good camera for action shots. And so nice of you to sit and take all of those photos.
  15. If you don't make the opening under chair 1, head for chair 7. It is the chair farthest east at the resort. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Thanks for the tips. I am amazed at the range of knowledge on this site . I feel like I could ask all most anything and get a well reasoned and logical answer. Gotta love Bomber!
  18. Sure hope it is better on the 4th! Be a shame to have all those carvers with no place to carve. Are you still planning to ride with us?

Started using the squeeze bottle version after reading this thread. It seems to help keep me a little clearer. Do you guys just use regular tap water? Do you mix your own salt water? I have been using the packets that came with the squeeze bottle, but I don't see why I should buy expensive packets of salt when I have plenty of salt in my kitchen. Would appreciate any info from the long time users.
  20. I love my BTS too. If nothing else, it would probably let you ride longer by giving your legs a break once in a while. It seems to me that the ability to vary leg position should be less demanding. Who knows, might be worth a few extra runs.
  21. Hi Richard! Glad to see that you made it to Bomber. Thanks for the heads up on the instructor at Summit. I will have to look him up one of these days. Can't wait to see every one on the slopes. Have you checked out the info here on Bomber and at the Carvers Almanac yet?
  22. How cool is it that the Director of Ski Patrol is a Hard Booter! Who knew? This is shaping up to be quite a gathering. I will have to make more of an effort to be there. Would not want to miss out on all of the fun .
  23. Conditions were excellent today. Not as many people as I thought there might be.
  24. Me and Aaron will be there tomorrow. Any one else?
  25. You guys are killing me with these Sunday plans! Oh well, I am glad you all had such a good time. I am very happy to see such a large local contingent showing up, even if I can't see them.
