  1. No, its not a viggen, they stopped making them in 02', though I would absolutley love one. No, this is the 9-3 Aero, which is the replacement for the viggen, so I thought I would throw a bit on nostalgia onto it with the plates. Oh, and to the Saabaru people, I understand that saab pretty much ripped off the Subaru, but there are a few things that make them saabs, ignition placement, really cool interior lighting (its electroluminescent panels that diffuse this really cool looking blue light ever so slightly), and a few other things...Same engine, ect. Different seats though, I test drove both and found that the saab actually did handle better, though not by much. But it really wasnt saab that did it, blame GM, they have a stake in subaru, not sure how much but it was enough to get the WRX wagon design... Before this one I had a 90' 9000 and it just completley died about a month and a half ago...miserable car. It ended its life still young at 167k. -Justin ________ Easy vape
  2. lol you lost a saab and I got one...Yeah, saabs seem to be a bit bigger in the northeast, I didnt see any in florida anyway. The dealer said they only sell like one aero for every ten of the arcs. Nobody knows why...maybe its because they suck at lawn mowing...? -Justin ________ Honda VT250 history
  3. There was a post like this a month or two about motorcycles, but I didnt get a motorcycle, so I kinda felt left out, but this is my new carving toy: ________ VOLCANO VAPORIZERS
  4. Killington isnt in a quest for more profits, its just simply that the town pumps out ALOT of money to the state, and the town gets shafted with the returns. Killington as a town is expanding, and they arent getting the state funding or support that they need, and obviously, from their input to the state, deserve. I'm following this one closley, it will be nice to go to killington without sales tax :). -Justin ________ CHRYSLER CANADA HISTORY
  5. actually, a thin whatever can be used for impact protection. WHat it sounds like the fabric does is momentarily become solid to distribute the effects of the impact over a wider area, thus dispersing the blow...kinda like the difference between getting hit in the head with a hammer and getting hit in the hard hat with a hammer, but its a "soft" hardhat that becomes hard when its hit? I dunno, but that kinda sounds like what it does...maybe... -Justin ________ Lincoln Town Car
  6. Something similar happened around here a few years back. A drunk driver was screaming along one of the many hilly and windy roads, hit the curb and then a berm and landed in a couples bedroom. Even more impressive than the 6 foot jump, she flew about 90 feet in the air to get into the second floor bedroom. It was estimated that she was doing about 110mph at the time. And again, no body was hurt. Crazy that it happened again... -Justin ________ Simca 1307

  9. Its obvious that the skiiers are just jealous again... I looked at the snowboarder that was all decked out in the picture that was posted in that "discussion", he was barely carving, and actually, it looked like he was probally skidding the turn in the photo. What's really sad is, most of the skiiers that start this "skiing is faster" nonsense have a mild to non-existant grasp of physics. If you do the math, well not really math, more its more like a physics proof, snowboards are inherently faster. Ok, you have a pair of skis, 184 cm in length, approx. 8-10 cm in waist width, average shovel at the nose, and a snowboard, 184 cm in length and about 19 cm waist and minimal shovel at the nose. If you go with the skis having a say 9 cm waist, then which of these two methods of having fun will go faster on the snow? The skis, which have a total of (minus sidecut) 2(184 x 9) cm^2 or the snowboard which has a total of 184x19 cm^2. The snowboard does. What keeps a snowboard/pair of skis moving? Surface area. Why? Because the greater the surface area, the smaller the pressure on the snow, which decreases the kinetic coefficient of friction between two bodies (for any other physics geeks on this site I know that the static friction would be greater between them, but thats a different story), and less friction means less resistance, and less resistance means more efficiency, which, on the same slope and snow conditions, the snowboard would be faster. Now, Im not going to say anything about skill or anything like that, but the fact of the matter is, a snowboard of equal length to a pair of skis will be faster. However, in a turn, a pair of skis would thoretically be faster, since they have twice as much edge on the snow at any given time, if it is a low-g turn with both skis on the snow. If that skiier picks up his inside ski to get lower and carve tighter though, all bets are off, and provided the sidecuts are identical as are the riders masses, then the two are evenly matched one again. Anybody from the skiing is faster side care to dispute this? -Justin ________ Health Shop
  10. I can personally recomend Coilers, but from what I hear, it's gotten to be almost a year waiting period for them, so that might be out of the question. But even with the horribly long wait, the boards are well worth it, I love mine. I have a size 28 boot also, and the waist on my board is 18.3cm, and Im riding ~60* front and rear, not too bad at all, I dont know what you consider "extreme" though. When I ride my Amp(Burton), which is a 22.5 cm waist, my angles are down to about 50ish, but still I dont know what you consider extreme. Good luck shopping, and I still reccomend a coiler. -Justin ________ REHAB DISCUSSION

  12. I think I got all of the inate musical talent that Thomas missed out on... I play french horn in concert band/orchestra, drums for rock/jazz. But I know how to play the trumpet, Piano, all of the various percussion instruments (did that in concert band before picking up the horn), a little bit of sax/clarinet, Mellophone (I play it for marching- it's essentially a trumpet that's keyed in F), Tuba, and Trombone, and Im starting to pick up basoon a little bit. Wow...Im a band geek. Oh, and yes, I do know how to play the kazoo also. Of all of them, I like the F-Horn the best in concerts, but when I march I LOVE to play quads (the 4 tom-drums that the person wears), and I finally get to march them next season. -Justin ________ Buy vapor genie

  21. I ride a burton amp 153 in the powder. And yes, I'm in the east, but Jay Peak (where I do my pow riding) dosent have eastern snow. Just so you know, Im 6' and 220, and I ride a 153 in the soft stuff, so size dosent matter in this case. If you can find one, pick it up, I got mine for $50 from a shop in Salem, brand new. -Justin ________

  23. I didnt get to race AT ALL this season due to other commitments that have absolutley no effect on anything else, but anyway. I was doing REALLY good in NASTAR two years ago, finished 26th out of 275ish for the season. Would have done even better, but I fell and broke my leg on course. The US Snowboard team keeps sending me free stuff to convince me to train with them and get better, maybe next year if the offer still stands. -Justin ________ Ford granada (europe) specifications
