FTA2R
local club taking a trip there next weekend. wvrocks
Hey Barry, I don't ride there much but the basin side is usually pretty crowded and not great for carving because of the beginners bombing the hill. I would give Cupp some attention and if it gets too crowded head to Silver Creek. Its usually pretty empty and has some nice trails. A lot of them have terrain features thrown in if you want to give them a try too. ________ Vaporizer Wiki
zoltan
Go to Silver Creek, and go as far over as you can and you'll find a lift servicing a couple blacks, a blue, and the snowboardcross course. It's usually not crowded as all, and the blacks are very fun.

DrCR
Only been to Winterplace in WV. Snowshoe looks a lot more extensive, but man, those trails look really narrow. Reminds me of NC mountains as far as how wide the trails are. Just how narrow are the trails; maybe they just look narrow on the map? I don't EC, but I do enjoy taking up a lot of space with big, sweeping GS turns. I really enjoyed Winterplace's "Drop Off" run, short but wide. Width not too bad for mountain towards the southeast... Recon
well I just spent 6 days at snowshoe/ it snowed a little/ not to bad for this time of year!!!! I was up there the weekend before & it sucked/ warm slush/ i left a day early.. Silvercreek closed on Sunday/ it"s the best for carving If you get up early you can still carve a little before the mass of people get up / I ride Alpine in the AM then switch to a all mtn. board after lunch Its snowing now I think/ so go get it/ they are open another 2 weeks I think ((((G))))
