D-Sub
descriptions says someone mounted ski bindings. I had that board, rode it a few days. it likes to go fast, and was quite stiff. actually handled ok in some chop at mammoth, too. I know that's vague and general... tcross.au
thanks, not worth it for me, cost of plugging is high, it is an old board so it would not be worth it
D-Sub
not with shipping to AU from the US it wouldnt, no. definitely not. as for plugging...that is something you could do yourself. if you meant filling in the stupid drill holes
tcross.au
shipping is only worth it if it is a good board, plugging is the term for filling those drill holes, i rather do it professionally as i have rotted the core of my race skis by a botched job 4 years ago. costly mistake
Gleb
the board looks cool. Just out of curiosity, how much would it cost to get a cosmetic redo on that board?
tcross.au
plugging holes costs me around 20-30 australian and that keeps the skis structually sound, expect to pay same probably
Gleb
you serious!? thats it? wow. would this board be a good deal if say under $70 total. Only reason I would want to get it is to eventually progress from my Ultra Prime. Is this board way too much for New England conditions and slope width? and my potential growth of experience? tcross.au
looks to be stiff with the carbon but never rode it so cant tell you
D-Sub
that board is for very strong riders, gleb. I have no idea if you are one.
Gleb
nope defintly not a strong rider. As far as riding is concerned, I'm that fat kid in 1st grade gym class that everyone hits with dodgeballs and gets picked last:p In reality, I'm pretty strong and in good shape, my riding isn't. thanks for the input. Who in their right mind would put ski bindings on the snowboard. Wouldn't the way the forces are applied force the boot to pop out? Seems rediculously unreliable to me. Dr D
maybe they tried to mount a set of the old five hole flexiplates? the pictures aren't the greatest almost like he's hiding something!
