Suzy
My daughter is 152cm 32kg (70 lb). I'd like to purchase the alpine snowboard for her online (new/second hand). We are new to this sports, what's the length of the board should she use? Thank you!
TVR
When you say alpine, you are talking hardboots? I have a Rossignol 149 made for a kid I can part with... I also have a set of burton bindings without any CANTS that could go with it... This would be a good beginner setup if looking to get her into hardbooting if this is what you are looking at... Jack M
Measure from the floor to the tip of her nose, that would be a good length to start with.
TVR
I also have a GS board on the for sale that is modern technology and good for GS if she wants to go that route.... Bruce did me a solid with this one and it did well by my son when he was smaller... It was designed as a race board if you want something for her to grow into. TimW
The F2 speedster SL 139 would be suitable (target weight 30-50kg). https://www.yyzcanuck.com/shop/snowboards/f2-speedster-equipe-sl-2017-18/ I do not know other series production boards for her weight range. If you were in Europe you'd be sorted for less than $100: https://www.marktplaats.nl/v/sport-en-fitness/snowboarden/m1760528526-race-slalomboard-f2-incl-bindingen-maat-139 Edited January 14, 2022 by TimW
