FTA2R
Hey everyone, My friend says these events are not harmful to snowboards. Can anyone (preferably those with experience making boards) confirm or refute this? thx, Barry

FTA2R
LOL, very cute Jack, lol. I figured though that boards aren't made to be submerged in the way they are in these events. --- Barry

If you have pre-existing damage that compromises the core (so moisture can get inside) then pretty much ANY snowboarding is going to make it worse. I mean riding the board for 10 seconds tops through water - even submerging it... cannot be that much worse in terms of moisture exposure than riding it in slushy spring conditions for 6 hours. Just my reasons, I'm not a boardmaker, but it doesn't seem like this should be that tough a question.
D-Sub
yeah, I forgot to add that part. if you have anything that compromises the guts of your board, even riding on snow is a very bad idea. seal those babies up!
