Bobby Buggs
Keep in mind It was 6 days after blowing the L5 disc in my back. No excuses. These are screen shots images so they pixelate a bit. Jack M
looks pretty good to me, only thing I would say is that you reach for the snow a little bit with your front hand on heelside. Otherwise, lookin' good my man.

Jack M
http://www.evilsports.com/albums/album01/cap004.jpg http://www.evilsports.com/albums/album01/cap020.jpg It's pretty minor, and your shoulders are fairly level, so it's not a big deal. There's a few pics where you're reaching a bit on toeside too, but again, nothing major. http://www.evilsports.com/albums/album01/cap015.jpg In this pic - http://www.evilsports.com/albums/album01/cap017.jpg you've turned towards your toeside edge (note front hand on toeside of board) and are bending slightly at the waist. If you feel this isn't a problem, then I wouldn't worry about it because I don't see much waist-bending in your pics in general. For me, I've found keeping my hands on their respective sides of the board, and trying to keep a quiet, more level upper body provides better balance. Here's a couple of sequences of me doing some basic carving on an easy trail at Buttermilk: http://www.bomberonline.com/JackM/jm_seq/ http://www.bomberonline.com/JackM/jm_seq2/ (this one is better)

I agree that does not look to correct in relation to our type of style. I lose style points there:cool: Thanks for taking the time to evaluate my pics. I did want to hear from you and others where they saw me missing the mark as it relates to our East coast type of style.
Jack M
My pleasure. I seem to recall earlier this season you were sounding discouraged with carving, but it looks like your technique has improved and now you're reinvested, yes? Here's a decent toeside pic Bob J took of me on our recent man-date to Shawnee Peak. http://tinypic.com/2cf3a9 My shoulders are a bit more tipped than I would normally allow on worse conditions, but it the snow was great, so anything goes! I like that my right hand is still on the right of the board. Here's Bob gettin' low: http://tinypic.com/2cf4e8

Bobby Buggs
Yes jack I fully understand about the shoulder tip as a result of the Good conditions. I guess you could say a trip to Crested Butte with 5 days of Sun and perfect cord re-energized my carving intrest.
Guest stoked
we had a great Easter weekend even though warm temp had set in so interest in carving is continuously re-energized here of course I was kidding about the shoulder alignment what do I know about shoulder alignment :)
