GeoffV
I've been going up there for 10 years in a row. Planning my annual trip first week in April just hope the avalanche rating is low. Until then I've got a ton of exercising to do. Wonder what the rating was when that person went down the headwall, proably got luck the headwall didn't break. I know what me limits are and wouldn't venture out if the conditions are unstable.
Neil Gendzwill
How tall is that headwall? It doesn't look like a lot of vert judging by the turns. I take it Tuckerman's is dangerous this time of year?

Here's an interactive site that provides some maps, pics and more stats: http://timefortuckerman.com/tuckermanravinemap.html Avalanche danger can be considerable this time of year. Check out the pics from last year: http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2024&highlight=tuckerman Most of the Headwall ripped with an enormous fracture line!
