need td1 or cheaper binding

I am new to carving and have my first alpine snowboard coming to me this week. I need bindings with all the hardware (cant disks, bolts) for it. It is a 4x4 hole pattern, so I will need 4 whole disks.

I am trying to start with inexpensive setup, so anything that will keep 175 pound me safely attached to the board would probably work:) I am hoping to spend around $50, but willing to pay more for all aluminum setup (older bomber td1 standards or cateks)

Also even if you don't have the bindings for me I could use some recomendation on what I should be looking to start with as far as cant angles (disks on both feet or just one?). I am planning to use my ski boots since I usually ski and board on same day trip. Wanted to see if anyone out there uses ski boots and if there needs to be any particular setup for that.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Stanislav.

P.S. I am north of San Francisco so if you ar local I would prefer to pick up to save on shipping.

You can certainly ride in ski boots. Some riders perfer them to carving boots (I am one of them). Td1's will fit most ski boots. As for stance; so much depends on your board width and your body type that I think you should keep in mind that advice is just advice and you will have to figure it out as you go. For starters though at a minimum you don't want any toe or heel drage on either foot. So try setting your rear foot With the toe and heel just over or inside the edge of the board and your front foot about 5 degrees more . I. e. 50 degrees rear and 55 degrees front. Width of stance varies greatly. I ride about 18 inches. Go with what is comfortable. Cants ? I ride 0 degree in front 6 degrees in back. It's what works for me. Don't forget to experiment try different angles and widths. Good luck and have fun. What do you have for a board?

Thanks for the info David. My board is still in the mail. I paid $100 for it.

It is an AIRWALK FORCE 167. I couldn't find any info on the board. The seler specified that it was new, but I don't know what year it was made.

It has a 215mm waist (nose-10 7/8" waist-8 7/16" tail-10 7/8" according to the seller), so I thought it should be wide enough to fit my ski boots with less aggressive forword angles.

Here is the picture (base only, top looks the same)

I don't know how much above $50 you're willing to pay for TD's, but I have a pair of TD1 Step-Ins with all the hardware, 3D/4x4 disks (3-degree cants), and medium bumpers. These are available for $100. I also have the Intec heels available for $20. I will cover the cost for FedEx ground shipping, or you can pay for a faster shipping method if you prefer.

Let me know if you're interested and if you need any pics.

Thanks,

Keith

I just picked up a 173 Wild Duck Limited with Catek bindings.

I have a Bomber set up so the Cateks are yours.

I'll take $50.00 if you cover shipping. They are in good shape and all the parts are there. You can reach me at lonemooselodge@aol.com.

I hope this gets you on the mountain.

Let me know. Ken

I recieved your Email and I sent you one.

I need to know if you want the bindings or not.

There are a number of carvers that are ready to ride and need a pair of bindings pronto.

Don't leave me hangin'.
