kiwanoron
Do any of you guys use this binding? How does it work...I have a friend that is around 145- 150 lbs and can not spend the money on TD2's - should he wait or just get this binding - I have never used them... thanks for the help... P.S. While you are all having fun in the snow - think of me and my broken ankle:-( ~RON
Chris
Ron, I have a pair of X-Bones. I use them on a BX style board and on a Fish. I haven't tried them on my alpine boards. Very easy to set up in terms of boot length. If you want to use the cants, it causes a little head scratching but really no big deal. They are reasonable flexy, but for someone 145lb. I'd guess they would be okay. I'm 165lb. and they hold me down. In fact I had a great auger in--crash n' snap while wearing them. My fiblula is broken but the X-Bones are not. Get better. RJ-PS
I have the carbon fiber X-bones which I'm not sure are any better than the non-carbon because they have plastic just the same, but I really like them. Nice and flexible for the boards and hardshells in walk mode. I've used them on Tankers, LSDs, Osin 4807, but never on an alpine board. I'm not sure I would like that much flex going over 45 mph? (have no idea how fast, I just want to sound like I know what I'm talking about). When I ride an alpine board, it gets the Bombers or the Cateks....No use throwing my 200 lbs down a hill with only some plastic between me and certain injury. Dave Pushee
I have them on my K2 Recon, and use TD1s on my Axis. The flex of the XBones helps in the trees. I'm just under 160 and haven't had any problems yet. I bought them towards the end of last season when I snapped yet another heel bail on my Burton plates - that was just the last straw for me.
