Scott
I am thinking of taking my son to Silverton as a grad present. He has a pass to Copper and loves the bowls, unfortunately he is a skier but likes to be seen holding my boards Now , I always ride hardboots and have had awesome days riding big powder in Tahoe on my all mountain. Has anyone ridden Silverton in hardboots and if so, was it worth it? I am not buying a softie set-up or skis. John E
I went to Silverton a decade ago. I grew up skiing & had transitioned to soft boot boarding (had not yet tried hard boots). I thought that I was a pretty accomplished snowboarder. Boy - was I humbled! The guides thought that we might get 6 runs in. I thought that was a real rip-off for $100 (at the time). I barely got in 4 runs. I spent a lot of time trying to get back up on my board. Lots of struggling. I was exhausted. There is no base. The snow is bottomless. The plan was to ride 2 days. We quit after one. My wife gave up after 1 run. I'm almost certain that there is no grooming. I haven't talked to anyone who has been there recently. I'd be interested to hear about your experience. Scott
I suppose a slightly split O-Sin 4807 would not be appropriate. Unfortunately they are booked for our available times. There's always Next Year. Until then East Coast Dirt
