Carp
Is there a typical life span (years) to boot liners (thermoflex, heads, others)? Someone that only rides 5-15x per year with weight of about 180 lbs.
ExcelsiorTheFathead
I don't know anything, but if you ride only a few days each season I'd say that the limiting factor are changes in your own body over time. Aging, weight gain, weight loss, varying levels of fitness, changes in foot shape, etc all contribute to make your liners somewhat ill-fitting. If your body never changed, I'd guess that a set of boots and liners should last 10 years if properly stored and only used 5-15 days each season. Willow 15
I would say if they are comfortable, ride them. If you think the boots feel softer than they used to be or painful in places that should not be painful change them. It is hard to give a life span to boots, checkout Northwave's 950 on the World Cup circuit, although everyone of those will have a race tuned foam liner. Surf Quebec
Most thermo liners can be cooked 5 times, so if you don't ride much you can keep them for a while.
