Marc H
Can anyone tell me some info on this board? Years made; construction ect. The top sheet says the cap construction is Titanium. Is it really that or Titanal? Also; what purpose does the notch serve on the tail? Picked it up from 185er here on the forum. It's in fantastic condition. Basically new from my standards. Will be a nice addition to my collection of Oxygen boards.
BlueB
"Titanium" normally stands for Titanal. Marketing departments of ski companies decided to use a hi-tech word well known to a general consumer, rather then obscure Titanal. Notch is for the funky looks. Some later versions don't have it. Aracan
I seem to recall that those were made in the late 90s. Not sure, though.
Mr.E
Yup, the blue one is around 96 if I recall. I had a new one around that time. Nice decks- wood cores with cap and some metal in there. Not to be confused with modern titanal construction, but they rode well and had pretty good pop.
