Dan
Looks like on-hill photography is upgrading to drones this coming season. A company called Cape is going to start this service at Mt. Hood Meadows: https://www.skihood.com/about-us/meadows-blog/posts/2015/10/aerial-drone-video-service-to-launch-at-meadows-this-season The general public can't use drones on Mt. Hood, so this paid service will have the only drone on the mountain. Good thing: If everyone who currently immortalizes their sideways skidding with GoPros had a drone, there would be mayhem out there. The service is from a company called Cape; apparently they're going to charge from $100 to $200 to film you for three runs, and then edit a finished video for you. I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but on the right day, I would definitely consider this... Other ski areas where they're currently planning to operate: WINTER PARK, CO COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO POWDER MOUNTAIN, UT HOMEWOOD, CA FERNIE, B.C. TIMBERLINE LODGE, OR MT. HOOD MEADOWS, OR SCHWEITZER MOUNTAIN, ID MOUNTAIN CREEK, NY
